"It's not the one who is strong who will win, but it's the one who wins who is the strongest." This is something I heard in my younger days from a TV character I can't even recall right now. This quote left a great impression on my soul, and now, in this battle, I wonder who will be proven the strongest out of both of us.

(I wonder who will be the strongest—me or my very foe.)

   This was a single thought that appeared in the mind of Jonathan as he fought the green lizard. The exchange between the two was nothing short of a well-orchestrated scene; the fight is almost similar to that of video game cutscenes. 

    They both attack each other blow for blow, even blocking blows for blow as equal; any damage they take seems minor. Most stalemates would usually have been boring, but this one must have been the chosen few. 

The intensity was too high.

    But Jon's body was moving automatically due to his skill called weapon's knowledge. Using all the information about spears and having a clear mind made him appear superhuman. His movement seems fluid and smooth; some may say it was flawless in how he maneuvered himself. 

His stance, as well as his spear techniques such as trusting, slashing, and blocking. For a person who had only been using a spear for a few minutes, it seemed impressive. But still, a novice is a novice, and Jonathan made a small mistake along the way due to his lack of experience. 

While there are many reasons that could be why his movements are still sloppy, the main reason is that he gets this knowledge not from practicing but from it being downloaded into his mind. Which means that his body and mind are not completely in sync with each other. 

"My foot feels like it is falling behind; it isn’t matching my hand movement very well." 

"Whoa, am I lacking power or am I suffering from fatigue from my injuries?" 

"Or is it my skill, Ignorant Bliss, messing with my body?”

   He monologued to himself while blocking a blow from the green lizard.

 The force of the blow nearly knocked him out, and the strike had caused Jonathan's knees to quiver. While he was attempting to gather his breath, a second attack arrived faster than a bolt of lightning.

  As the beast's claws stabbed Jonathan, a splash of blood splattered on it. In the most bizarre and frightening of circumstances, the green, dreadful creature is licking the blood with its long tongue. 

His face looks as if he were chuckling at his prey, making it seem that he was thinking, "Finally, he's dead." Though he doesn't rush to feast on his prey, he waits and lingers before taking a bite, being cautious of his mighty foe.

   Jonathan noticed this behavior and thought to himself, "Maybe if I played dead, I could take him out with my last breath." Jonathan kept his body still while waiting for the beast to gobble him up. The green lizard looked for a brief moment before dipping his head toward our wounded protagonist.

     As the green beast's head reaches just near the length necessary for his spear to reach. Jonathan quickly throws it at the green lizard's throat, his spear flying straight through his neck. The creature lets out a loud roar out of pain and discomfort as it slowly suffocates due to its damaged throat. Jonathan watches in delight as his foe goes down with him.

      He was bleeding out quite a lot due to the last blow he received, although he is at peace knowing he alone won't die. But before his injuries take him out, the lizard breathes his last breath. Jonathan closes his eyes, accepting his fate at last. And he whispered this final message to himself: "It sucks that I have to go so soon before even being able to see if my family is safe."

   He then opens his eyes and realizes that all his injuries are gone while also reading the new notification. He was surprised by what he had witnessed and was a little disoriented. He got up, then started to look at the beast with his own eyes, and seemed to be in awe at his own achievement. Jonathan was not the only one looking at it; he also witnessed many people from the bus looking at him and was in amazement. 

   He felt proud of himself for his action, and when he took out the Survivor knife, he was rewarded. He looked and then look at the beast's mouth and thought, " maybe if I can improve this weapon with my skill and this monster body parts,"

Jonathan took the knife and used it to pull out the green lizard teeth. He then activated his skill called "Alchemy Smith" and used it to combine both the teeth and knife.
