Fushi still tangled in his especially made strait jacket by Anna and Akhidra, has his ruler construct dissipate just like his other manifest constructs as well forcibly by him.
He looks at his best friend Akhidra with a sly look tilting his head. He mouths, ‘get me out of this’.
Akhidra stands up while Fushi has already sat down by the time Akhidra gave him the book. Akhidra mouths, ‘just pierce it?’ while making a confused face thinking why hasn’t he thought of that, and then he sees Fushi’s face light up with the idea followed by him banging his head against his own table in hindsight contemplating ‘why didn’t I think of that’.
Akhidra starts off saying, “A manifest is a rare ability a person can have and only one manifest a person can have their entire life.”
Akhidra moves his right hand while saying, “Manifests are not unique abilities while it is not impossible to have a unique manifest, they are based on what a person has experienced or practiced, their emotions, desire, or at several times the ideas and emotions they have during a life threatening situation where their manifest first awakens.”
Fanakar says, “that’s an average explanation, anything else you want to add?”
“Yes, sir. A manifest while in theory looks like something out of a fairy tale or fantasy, in truth each and every manifest has their own manifest laws and so a manifest of person can be taken as an entire system with it’s own laws and functions governing it that’s entirely different than the world at large while it has the ability to interact with the world. For each manifest there can be a different set of laws and maths involved with it, it can and should be said that just as many number of manifests there are, there are that many different number of manifest laws governing each of their own manifest”, continued Akhidra.
“Ok, now settle down Akhidra, I’ll take over”, said Fanakar.
Students who were looking like they were about to fall asleep after arriving at school, have all woken up because of the back and forth among Fanakar, Kirit and Fushi.
And it was the truth as everyone, even if some of the students cringed at Fushi’s joke, woke up when Kirit out of nowhere threw a remark at Fushi as if wanting to see a real brawl and not a friendly spat.
Fanakar looking at the students who showed an inkling to see a fight, thought to himself, ‘humans’ tendency to view violence as a sport is terrifying and yet an interesting study’.
Fanakar started his lesson with, “Akhidra’s and Fushi’s definitions are a good starting point to discuss what a manifest is, and how that exact definition has been challenged through the years from 2025 to now shaping and altering our own human history in such a way that the emerging industries of the early 21st centuries got thrown under the bus and put the entire human civilisation as a whole at a very slow rate in technological advancements while starting wars so huge that everyone literally got involved”.
“First of all”, said Fanakar walking towards the class’s front door while looking at his students, kept going, “a manifest is a rare ability that can be cloned by another person if that manifest’s exact path to awakening is known and copied to the letter, this makes a manifest rare and not completely unique like devil fruits from the ‘One Piece’ manga”.
Fanakar looked around and saw that everyone is aware of what ‘One Piece’ manga is, he admits to himself, ‘Eiichiro Oda was really a great writer, for his work is still relevant after nearly 300 years’.
“I see that you all know what ‘One Piece’ is”, said Fanakar, turning to face the doors and closing them but not locking their handles.
He continued, “also getting a similar manifest is possible which may have similar set of laws, this was the main reason behind the sudden burst of manifests during the years 2025 to 2028, where even watching a reel on a manifest awakening and roadmap to it became illegal and people could get arrested for it”.
He started walking back towards the teacher’s desk, “that action by several nations against it’s own people and foreigners fueled the start of the third world war, because there were nations who didn’t consider manifest as bad and against government, like India, Japan, and Russia.”
He stood in his place and then said while spreading his arms a bit, “while USA was arresting people for having manifest awakenings or manifests”. He got a loud gasp from a few students as he expected that to happen.
“I know, I know, in today’s time that is not the case with USA now, but during that time of 2020s, USA had many sort of problems and it just took having manifest by a person as a threat to it’s politicians”, he continued assuring his students by raising his hands to listen to him.
His students looked curiously at him, some showing signs of raising hands but showing hesitation as well. He saw that.
“Ok, I see that some of you want to say something so just ask away”, he said.
Priya raised her hand and proceeded to ask, “Sir, but isn’t Russia a communist and collectivistic nation?”
At this point, Chakshas also asked, “Sir, how is all this related to the late renaissance period? Isn’t that the first chapter, and the start of the East India Company?”
Fanakar smiled and said, “quite correct and valid questions both of you have asked.-”
Fushi creates a blade that pierces through the strait jacket after his fourth try to form a blade that is formed using a small disc on his school’s shirt, making a rupturing noise like ‘skreee’. The strait jacket falls off him after he moves the blade around safely to avoid cutting himself.
Fanakar and Akhidra both face palms their forehead at the same time.
Fanakar said, “you should have made blades that come out at the same time rupturing the strait jacket Fushi.”
Fushi exclaims, “Oh! So that’s what you meant Akhidra by making that flower blooming sign!”
Akhidra shifts his hand from his forehead to his mouth and suppresses a small laugh.
Kirit says, “you have one of the most versatile manifest and you still haven’t figured it out. You really raise the bar for us, cracked nut.”
“Kirit, stop lowering the bar”, said Fanakar with a hint of sarcasm.
