The magical world known as Edict is the stage where the war between Pistols has been raging for ninety years. The Rainbow Goddess, Iris, bestowed her blessing onto seven children that belonged to the seven magical families of the world known as the Seven Houses. Each house has its own profession. Blues are scientists and scholars, Reds are the military, Purples are the athletes, Greens are the doctors, Yellows are the casino owners, Whites are the engineers, and Greys are the import exporters. They would later become the first Great Pistols known throughout the world soon after Iris bestowed her blessings on the children. Each of them got a Pistol Power.
The Shaman, Jules, thought the power of a Pistol best suited her and when it didn't go to her, she forsook the goddess and summoned a dark spirit to make her own Pistol Powers. The spirit infused its powers in Jules, but not exactly giving her what she wanted. Instead, it tells her that she was to be the mother of all the evil Pistols to come, impregnating her with triplets. These three triplets would also be talked about in future legends to come. The Alden family, known for having the highest magical aptitude, was bestowed the powers of the Blue Pistols. The Akuma family, with the next highest magical aptitude, was bestowed with the Red Pistol’s power. The Trinity Family, with the next highest magical aptitude, was bestowed with the Green Pistol’s power. Next is the Soloaris family, they were bestowed with the powers of the Purple Pistol’s power. The Kakegurui family is next with the power of the Yellow Pistol. The Vintis family was bestowed the powers of the White Pistol. Lastly, is the Seneca family. Their magical aptitude is the lowest of all the houses and so they were bestowed powers of the Grey Pistols.
Time had passed and all of the Pistols, good and evil, were of an age. The goddess Iris and the Dark Spirit, who inhabited the body of Jules, essentially had a meeting to decide a war between Pistols with the stakes being thirty years of either Peace or Chaos. This depended on which side won. Also, at the end of each war, the Pistols would leave the former hosts in search of a new generation of hosts. The wars won are as follows: the First Great Pistol War ended with the Evil Pistols being killed and there were thirty years of peace, meaning no dark spirits could attack the magical world of Edict; the Second Pistol War ended with thirty years of Chaos meaning the dark spirits could attack without warning and it was up to the Seven Houses to defend the Edict without the power of the Pistols; the Third Pistol War went the same as the second one with thirty years of chaos. At this point, the Seven Houses were exhausted and in desperate need of peace. The Fourth Great Pistol War was the hope they were looking for.
This pistol war was a success for the House of Seven but with high casualties. Out of the seven pistols five of them were thought to have died, but in reality, only four of them died. Among the living was the great pistol who hosted the Blue Pistol, his name is Lucas Alden. His intelligence was far superior to his house and his magical aptitude was high as well. Another who lived was the Grey Pistol, Rurima Seneca. Rurima was of the Grey House but she was a special person. Her magical abilities were said to be the lowest given she’s from the House of Grey. While that was true, Rurima had two special abilities. Her first was to store up magical energy and release it in small or bigger busts out her pistol. Her other was that she could teleport anyone she wanted a great distance away depending on how much energy she had stored. She never shared that teleport ability with anyone other than her best friend and the Red Pistol at the time, Arora Akuma. Arora was said to be dead in the Fourth Great Pistol War when Rurima shot Arora with a bullet making her body disappear. When everything was all said and done, Lucas told the House of Seven what happened. Rurima's punishment was that she would leave the House of Seven, never to return again.
Meanwhile, Arora was alive and well. She met up with Rurima's brother Simon. Simon still had a place in the House of Seven, he was to be the next heir to the Grey House import-export business. He used his power to house Arora and Rurima. Simon and Arora were madly in love and wanted to have a baby that didn't happen. One day, ten years after the pistol war, Simon and Arora were walking in a city that was many miles away from the major city when they heard the cries of a newborn baby. They quickly rushed over to see if that was what it was and, long and behold, there was a newborn wrapped up in an alley crying. There was a note that read, “This baby will be a great pistol.” Simon and Arora thought this baby was a blessing from the goddess Iris. They took her and started to raise her themselves. They named her Raven. This baby was really the thrown away child of Jules the Dark Spirit.
Eight years after raising Raven, Arora birthed another child she named Rayne, but with complications to the pregnancy, Arora soon died in the hospital, leaving Simon a widow. Arora always wanted Raven to be adopted into the Trinity House because Raven had the ability to always want to help people. Simon made the arrangements for that to happen and Raven told Simon that even if she was a Trinity now, that she'd always look after Rayne as if she was her own. Simon was happy to hear that so Simon made his sister, Rurima, and Raven Rayne's guardians the next Pistol war that was on the horizon, who would be chosen to be the next Pistols to fight the war.
For years, the Great Pistol Wars have changed the fate of the magical world of Edict. The battle between the Rainbow Goddess's warriors (the Pistols) and the Dark Spirit's evil Pistols has tipped the scale between peace and chaos every 30 years. With the Fifth Great Pistol War approaching, it is up to the new Pistols, a group of teenagers led by an 11-year-old girl, to fight for the fate of the world. Can they bring peace back to Edict? Or will the Pistols fall victim to the Dark Spirit's warriors and bring another bout of chaos into the world?
