Makana runs outside in the heavy sunshine! "Makana, you forgot your lunch!" his mother yells, "I'll be back for it! Don't say stuff like that out loud!" HR yells back whole running backwards..he then stops as his hat falls off if his fluffy, curly hair. Upon picking it up a 16 wheeler speeds by behind him... Him and his mother stares at each other in surprise; it's a good thing he stopped before running into the road..

Minutes later; he finds BFF's home and noticed she's leaving it coincidently. Lei stretches some, but but shrinks back from the sunlight.. "Ah, it's gotta be like 100° today!" she whines a little... "Isn't it great!!?" Makana laughed, "No, I'm surprised I haven't got heat stroke!" she retorts. "Hahaha! You're too soft, hahahaha!" he laughs "We're all born here; nobody else minds the sun!". " The rest of you are insane!" she jokes. "Enough craziness then: let's go see the professor! He had a surprise for us!" Makana revealed, "Really? I thought he'd just give gifts to his FAVORITE!" Lei says with a laugh! "Hey, it's not l..." Makana starts, but slows down... "Wha? You better not be doing that `I see a monster!` prank again!" Lei warns jokingly, then looks where he's looking and sees Sunny! 

The blonde looks confused, has a tan and her huge brown amber eyes seems to be in search of something.. "Not again! You're always going crazy over the tourists!" Lei days in annoyance, "But..she looks coooool!" Makana retorts in a dreamy tone! He then almost falls  backwards when she zeroes in on them! "Excuse me.." she says as she nears the duo "Might you tell me where the Eclipse center is?". " Um yeah.. Um let me help you..." he replied, "Thanks Makana, Lei!" the blonde says happily. "Think nothing of it, Sunny!" Lei replies... The three then stop... And exclaim in surprise together: "HOW DO YOU KNOW MY NAME!?". The kids then all laugh ..both as this was crazy to them, and out of nervousness! "Maybe Lei's a psychic!" Makana joked, "Honestly, I don't know how..it just felt like..you look so bright and cheerful..so.." Lei says, trying to hide her annoyance at Makana liking her.. Which works as Sunny replies "Aw thank you! But I wanted to cut my hair short like yours, it'll be more manageable that way!". Makana saw his chance to flirt: " You look great the way you are, though!" he says with a laugh, Sunny giggles nervously and follow him as he adds "Now let me show you to my professor! He can find it!". They walk away as Lei rolls her eyes, and a breeze blew off her cap... Her long curly raven-colored locks bounce out on the ground! " Geez, why does this have to happen? I should of cut my hair too, but it's so much fun!" she said to herself.. And shakes it off and ties her hair back up on her head with her hair, and forces her cap back on.. "Wait up!" she yells and runs behind the other too!

Everything goes well, and they only Star gaze upon finding the lab**
