At Firewall mountain, the Cobalan defenders arrive at the base of the mountain. The Riders look at the mountain and notice smoke coming from the top of it. Right away they realize that Firewall mountain is an active volcano. That realization only motivates them even more to get to the legendary mekanimal before the Ironclaw raiders. In the distance, the Raiders also arrive at Firewall mountain. Things are quiet at first until Lord Mercury commands the Raiders to attack the Defenders. Gregor responds by ordering the Defenders to charge. The two armies clash and Mekanimals begin to fight each other. Just then, Neo notices Lord Mercury making a beeline for the top of the volcano. The Riders and their Mekanimals realize that Mercury is using the commotion to reach the legendary mekanimal. As they are about to make their way to Mercury, Titus and Razorclaw intercept the Riders. "And where do you think you're going? Can't have you ruining the main event. Soon this world will placed back in the hands of mankind. Too bad you won't be around to see it!" Says Titus as Razorclaw releases a powerful roar toward the Riders.

Razorclaw charges towards the Riders only to be blocked by Torta. Tuga tells the others to focus on Mercury. Just then, Copperhead and Ironjaw intervene the other Riders efforts. Vermilla begins to sink their talons into the metal hide of Ironjaw. Ruby tells Zafira to go after Mercury as Vermilla continues to slash at Ironjaw. Torta bites Razorclaws ankle and proceeds to hover, dragging the bear around before throwing it. Razorclaw bites down on Torta only to realize the turtles shell has gotten stronger since the previous encounter. Ironjaw bites Vermillas leg and pulls the bird to the ground. Vermilla responds by emitting a electric pulse, shocking the croc off of them. "Bastard! Can't you see how pointless this fight is? We are at the dawn of new age and soon humanity with return to their rightful place!" Copperhead said annoyed by the Riders. "Bullshit! Waking some sort of super weapon? Restarting a conflict that nearly destroy this world? If mankind didn't go extinct then, they'll definitely be gone when that thing goes on a rampage!" Says Tuga. "For the sake of the Machina, for the sake of Humanity, we will send your little cult back in the hole it crawled out of! Just like those before us, we fight for the future of those who come after us!" Ruby says with great courage and motivation.

At the top of Firewall mountain, Mercury has placed an explosive charge on the rock holding the legendary mekanimal. Zafira and Neo charge at Mercury only to be intercepted by Sebal and Swordtooth. "Soon a new world will be born and with it mankind will be placed back on top of the food chain. Mankind will become something greater! We will be above nature itself and the world will bow before us!" Mercury proudly shouts as he detonates the charge. The energy of the explosion awakens the Neogiga upon being freed from its tomb. Zafira and Neo look on in shock at the size of the Neogiga compared to them. "What the hell have you done, Lord Mercury?" Sebal says, shocked by the sight of the Neogiga. Realizing the threat it pose, Sebal and Swordtooth charge at the Neogiga. With a quick slash of its claws, the Neogiga swats Swordtooth aside leaving a massive wound on her side. Zafira and Neo grabs Sebal and Swordtooth before running away from the Neogiga. Zafira looks behind her and Sees the Neogiga release a powerful yet painful roar. A roar that was not heard in thousands of years.

Back at ground level, the Defenders and the Raiders stop fighting upon hearing the roar of the Neogiga. The roar caused the Mekanimals in the area to tremble in fear. Tuga and Ruby see Zafira and Neo running towards them. Neo holds onto Swordtooth like a lion holding a cub. Behind Zafira lies an unconscious Sebal. Zafira screams for everyone to run. Hearing this, Gregor and Francis order a full retreat from Firewall mountain. The Mekanimals of the Cobalan defenders proceed to run away from the area. Tuga, Torta, Ruby, and Vermilla proceed to follow the rest of the Defenders. Zafira sees that Swordtooth is barely holding on to life and knows she need medical attention. " We to get this one medical attention right away. Her injuries are taking a toll on her." Zafira says the Francis. Francis agrees with Zafira but Gregor places a stipulation to the request. "Once we get back to base, she'll be treated for her injuries with the rest of the Mekanimals. However, the extra body that's with out has to tell us everything he knows about that thing Mercury had just unleashed." Says Gregor in a stern tone. Zafira agrees to the stipulations and heads back to base with the rest of the base. The Cobalan defenders return to base with their tails between their legs.
