Ch. 3: A Desire
Fanakar turned his back on the class and drew on the board a simple classification diagram with ‘manifest’ as parent and ‘regular’ and ‘irregular’ as child.
At that moment, Priyanshu spoke up, “sir, wouldn’t it be better if we use this time to fight?”
For the entire time when Priyanshu spoke and the microseconds that followed it, Fanakar activated his aura.
Fanakar’s body bathed in his white translucent aura as if a very thin layer of chalk dust popped up over him and receded back into him. This all happened within the time span of just 5 seconds.
His aura still active and strengthening him from inside as it always does, ingrained in Fanakar due to his training and years.
Fanakar without turning back said, “good try using your manifest ‘accuracy dissolver’ Priyanshu.”
Fanakar turned his head around to wink at him. “But attrition warfare isn’t only your but my specialty as well. And yeah good one, using your manifest’s laws in a different manner.”
Fanakar draws the manifest forms classification diagram as well. A very simple one with ‘manifest’ as parent and the three forms names as it’s child.
Smriti supporting Priyanshu’s attempt said, “but sir, he is right, if we are to learn manifest mathematics, shouldn’t we also be doing some actual combat exercises or something?”
Daksh spoke up in defense saying, “there are many theories within manifest maths that we will be better first learning about them.-”
Smriti interjected, “and who said your opinion mattered?” She tilted her head.
“Oh, it does. You got a problem with that troll?” came from Tanisha. Staring directly at Smriti.
“Yeah-, uh, I was just,-“ Smriti became agitated but she looked at Tanisha and she could see, Tanisha’s aura wanting to come out just giving glimpses of oozing out at random places.
Smriti muttered under her breath, “influencer.”
Tanisha put her hands together in front of her and let her black aura seep out upwards from it. She asked, “yes?”
Now, staring happily at her.
Fanakar turned around and said, “that’s quite a match up. But it’s not combat period so-”
Fanakar put the marker’s cap on the teacher’s desk. “Stay.”
He took out a mathematics book assigned for the standard by ICSE board. “Your.”
He looked at all four of them who spoke up. “Place.”
Akhidra and Fushi both. “Middle benchers.” Both laughing looking at each other and high fived.
Fanakar cleared his throat loudly. Akhidra and Fushi straightened up.
Fanakar began his class. “Manifests can be classified based on many different classifications. For manifest mathematics we will be using the classification of ‘regular’ and ‘irregular’.”
He pointed to the board. “‘Regular’ in terms of classification for manifests means the manifests where you can apply manifest mathematics at any given day or space and you will end up with the same result until under the influence of another manifest. ‘Irregular’ in terms of classification for manifests means the manifests with which you cannot apply any of the theories of manifest mathematics.”
He pointed to Fushi and Anna.
Fushi spontaneously made a comb ‘Nice manifest’ construct and started combing his hair. Akhidra at that time, “Oooh!” and he clapped his hands.
Fanakar said, “yeah, ‘ooh’, Akhidra. Now give me 20 sit-ups at the back of the class and face the board, when done sit back in your place.”
Akhidra stood up, went to the back and started doing his sit-ups.
Fanakar went on with his class and at random times when someone interrupted the class, he gave them these small warm up exercises. Nearly everyone got something.
Priyanshu did 10 push ups. Daksh and Tanisha at different moments in class had to do 5 pull ups on door frame. Smriti did 20 sit-ups.
Random exercise punishment but Fanakar planned it, he wanted to keep them in check while teaching with least disturbance possible.
He also wanted to give them all some warm up exercise before the class, the ones he needn’t had to give any exercise as punishment were Kirit, Priya and Anna.
The third period’s ending bell rung at exactly 11:15 AM, also marking the beginning of the recess till 11:40 AM.
Fanakar exiting the class said, “do not eat way too much, you all have three combat periods after this!”
He leaves the class making a beeline to the staff room, picking up two teachers of other classes who were caught up with their class’s antics.
