A few weeks had passed since the Seven Pistols started getting used to each other outside of their high school. They were also getting used to using their pistols under the guidance of Rurima. The first week started out badly as everyone wanted to be the leader. They split up into their own groups. Rurima, wanting to get their attention, destroyed a table, looking at them with a sinister look in her eye. There was another table with a box, notecards, and pens. Rurima had a very simple solution for them. They would all vote on who the leader was going to be. Each one of them wrote a name on a notecard and put it into the box. The only twist was that they couldn't write their own name and whoever was chosen as the leader no one could argue with it. Rurima was surprised by the results. Five of the notecards had Rayne's name and two had Godfrey's name. With that, it was decided that Rayne was going to lead the team. Even if there had been a different result, everyone knew that the Great Pistol was to lead the team. It had to be Rayne.
The celebration was short-lived after a few weeks had passed, and the houses now knew who the selected pistols were. There was a call from Sotto's father saying that there was a man going around attacking and killing members of the House of Seven, claiming that he would kill anybody in his path. He was challenging the Pistols, wanting them to try and stop him. They knew that they had a duty to protect the citizens of Edict and they took action. It didn't take them long to find him. There were piles of bodies everywhere. This pissed off the Pistols. The man saw the seven before him while he held an almost lifeless body. He threw it in the pile of the other bodies.
Introducing himself as Grunthos the Flatulent, he said he was a mercenary sent to kill them. This made some of the Pistols laugh while others looked at him with disgust. This pissed Grunthos off and he inhaled a large breath and held it for a second. All of the Pistols got into a fighting stance, not knowing what to expect. Grunthos then let out the loudest fart they had ever heard. This fart could be heard a mile away. A giant green bubble came out the backside of Grunthos and it traveled over the heads of the Pistols. They all tried to get out of the way but it was too late. The bubble dropped onto them, causing an arena to appear around them filled with noxious gas. They couldn't escape, Grunthos explained. This was his special ability known as Toxic Arena. Within this area, the only way to escape was to defeat Grunthos within it. Also, within this arena, Grunthos’ whole body becomes a weapon. His punches and kicks break down the thin layer of magical aura around a person's body and his spit can melt flesh over a period of time. All seven of the Pistols were split up and Grunthos took advantage of this, beating the crap out of the Pistols. Godfrey kept his cool even though the gas was horrendous. He dodged most of Grunthos’ attacks with his ability to adapt to any situation. Grunthos liked that about him but exposed a weakness. Grunthos used his spit and spat on the ground under Godfrey's feet, melting his shoes. Godfrey couldn't get out of his shoes fast enough and Grunthos knocked him out.
Demetria found Rayne and Rare. She used her pistol’s powers to add an extra layer of defense aura on top of the aura they already had. She also used her pistol to construct an aura-based gas mask for Rayne, seeing how she's the leader and youngest in the bunch. Grunthos wasn't done assaulting the Pistols yet. He found Kanu, who used her lucky shots, but none of them were effective on Grunthos in his Toxic Arena. Grunthos made quick work of her as well. Angie was a bit of a problem for Grunthos because she was moving just as fast as Grunthos was, her magical ability is quick agility on top of her pistol’s power, which shoots bullets as fast as the wind. Grunthos used the same tactic he used against Godfrey on a larger scale. He quickly inhaled and spit out twenty spit shots. These followed Angie, who did a good job of getting away from the spit at first. However, it went downhill when Grunthos started adding punches and kicks to his assault. It quickly knocked her out as well.
Grunthos found Demetria, Rare, and Rayne and knocked out Rayne with one shot. Rare lost her cool after seeing this and Demetria used her pistol to wrap chains around Grunthos. Rare shot Grunthos over and over with poison bullets but it was to no avail due to Grunthos’ body being nothing but toxic gas. Demetria got knocked out and Rare did as well. Sotto was the last Pistol left in the Toxic Arena at this point. The Arena started to vanish when the time limit of three minutes was up and Sotto saw all of her teammates down for the count. This enraged Sotto and she powered up, firing heavy blasts at Grunthos. Grunthos dodged the attacks but the after-effects caught him, damaging him slightly. He knew that she was on a whole other level, seeing her military outfit on as well as seeing her rank. Knowing that she was a lieutenant general, Grunthos knew this might be a problem that he should've gone after first.
Just then, a helicopter showed up over the scene and the Pistols slowly started to awake. Looking the helicopter, they saw that a rope came out. Grunthos climbed up the rope ladder and then there was a loudspeaker a voice that came out of the helicopter. It said, “So you're the next Generation of pistols? You're considerably weaker than all the previous ones. I look forward to crushing you all.”
The same voice that spoke then started to laugh, an evil cackle, as the helicopter flew away. The Pistols were left defeated and Rurima had a truck mobilized and ready to run out to their location to pick them up and take them to the Trinity House Hospital. The driver's instructions were to take them there for treatment.
For years, the Great Pistol Wars have changed the fate of the magical world of Edict. The battle between the Rainbow Goddess's warriors (the Pistols) and the Dark Spirit's evil Pistols has tipped the scale between peace and chaos every 30 years. With the Fifth Great Pistol War approaching, it is up to the new Pistols, a group of teenagers led by an 11-year-old girl, to fight for the fate of the world. Can they bring peace back to Edict? Or will the Pistols fall victim to the Dark Spirit's warriors and bring another bout of chaos into the world?
