Tanisha wondered, ‘did Chakshas use his wind mana to scare off whatever was happening?’

Priya looked at Tanisha and signalling with her eyebrows asking do she know what may have happened?

Tanisha just said, “I don’t know.”

Ding-dong. The bell rang, marking the end of the recess.

Anna looked over to Tanisha, who was on her right in front of the back door, and went, “huh. So if you even don’t kn-”

Fanakar dashed in through front doors and shouted, “no fighting! Till I say so!” He looked up from his sliding entry still tilted. “Good, no dead bodies , till now. Let’s keep it that way.”

Everybody looked in front to Fanakar sir, “HUH! We didn’t hear you slide in or anything! How?! Let alone sense your aura or reaction.”

Fanakar straightened himself, “now that’s a secret you will learn in ‘Combat training and adventuring-II’ subject this year. This period or subject is ‘Combat training and adventuring-I’.”

He enthusiastically said, “everyone to the combat arena, now.”

Fushi and Akhidra through the entire Fanakar’s entrance to now have been laughing. Fanakar spawns behind both of them.

“More walking, less standing”, said Fanakar as he looks from one to another.

Fushi stared right back at Fanakar, and said, “sir, with respect, do not turn out to be an eldritch monster.” Fushi and Akhidra keeping their faces straight.

“Oh, you haven’t seen enough to be calling me that. But I dare you to say that to the Aura arts teacher, if you do I will give you a hundred rupees”, dared Fanakar.

Fanakar looked at Kirit who has started walking to his desk. “Oh, Kirit, make sure everyone gets to the combat arena. Ok?”

Kirit kept walking. “Ok, sir.”

Fanakar started walking but as he reached the front of the class, he said, “Akhidra, don’t forget to wear your blue jacket.” Akhidra replied, “Of course, sir.”

Fanakar turned around and faced the class, he said, “everyone, if you have brought any equipment that you use for adventuring or practice, go and retrieve it before arriving at the combat arena. The ones who haven’t brought any, don’t worry there are plenty of equipments and weapon you can use at the combat arena. Now, everybody get moving, I and your Aura arts teacher will be waiting for you at the arena.”

“And everyone, this is what I did. Good, if you can grasp it”, Fanakar responded to the class’s earlier questions.

He spread his white aura in a thin layer skin-tight all over his body, even each strand of his hair had a layer rather than the entire hair being treated as one. Then the aura surrounding him started vibrating.

Tanisha suddenly spoke up, “wait sir, you have mastered increasing your speed without harming the environment?! That’s an insane skill!”

Fanakar kept increasing his aura’s vibration but no shockwaves or changes to air let alone the surfaces touching him showed any changes. None at all.

Fushi asked, “is that such an impressive feat?”

Akhidra replied, “it is. This is a requirement for every speedster, if their speed aura technique, manifest state or magic spell doesn’t harm the environment irrespective of anything they are allowed to use it, otherwise it is a crime by the law and it’s punishment is dependent upon what damages they may have caused using their speed enhancement outside of their safe training area.”

Fanakar replied, “correct, Akhidra Karna. Now see ya everyone!” Fanakar vanished leaving not a trace.

Tanisha’s feeling went from shocked, surprised and then to admiration of her teacher. “he has mastered that! What else has he mastered? I want to learn from him! How many days will it take me? What do you think Anna?”

Tanisha grabbed Anna by the shoulders, “that is literally insane, I have been my entire life a self-taught aura user, only learning martial arts from martial arts schools but now! Now!”

Anna said, “Yeah, even I want to learn that skill. I have been trying to learn it for last 70 years still didn’t learn it, and that’s during my solitude training of 90 years.”

Tanisha let go off Anna and took out her self-made adventurer clothing she uses, “I am going to get changed, Anna get my bow and swords from the armory lockers.”

Anna said, “yeah sure, just get to the class fast.”

Tanisha dashed out, saying, “I’ll be there.”

Everyone else who brought any clothing for the combat period, some just had to put it on their uniforms, some needed to change so they went to the changing rooms.

Akhidra only needed his blue jacket his grandma stitched for him using his childhood clothes. He still remembers her very fondly and how she talked about whether he will still like the jacket she is making for his later years.

Fushi notices a teardrop rolling down Akhidra’s face, even he knows how much Akhidra loves his late grandma.
