Three days had passed since the Grunthos attacked the Pistols and they were all cleared out of the Trinity House Hospital. Grunthos and the mysterious man in the helicopter were all on their minds when they showed back up to Rurima’s place. She explained to them that it was a valiant effort for their first battle and that, even though they lost, it was a good learning experience. However, it was time to change that. With that, Sotto stood up, determined, and told them that she wasn't going to take this lying down. She said that if they were with her, she knew what to do next. Everyone stood up with her and she made a call. The next day, they all reported to the Akuma House’s main military base where each of them started to receive special training in their specific Pistol’s abilities.
Two weeks went by and no attacks were made by Grunthos nor was there any activity from the mysterious man. Rurima got a letter that shocked her and she told the Pistols to come to her place as soon as possible. When they showed up, she explained what was in the letter. It read that the man in the helicopter’s name was Lucas Alden, the Leader of Ouroboros. He knew just where Rurima was and he was never going to forgive her for what she did. It also said that he was going to send Grunthos to attack the Pistols again in one week’s time and this time the gloves were going to be off. He stated that if they didn't want Grunthos to attack again, that they would have to hand over Rurima.
Godfrey heard that name and his body cringed up. Everyone knew who Lucas Alden was as he was the leader of the last generation of pistols. Sotto explained that Ouroboros was a mercenary group and they were even on the Akuma military’s top ten most wanted list. She knew that Lucas Alden being their leader posed a huge threat. Rare asked Rurima to tell them the story of what really happened in the last Pistol war.
Rurima took a deep breath and started explaining what really happened. She explained that Lucas was a really good leader in public, but, when it came to the war, he wanted to win more than anything. Even if that meant sacrificing everyone to get said victory in the end. Rurima explained that she was born special, she had two special abilities that, along with being the Grey Pistol’s holder, gave her a bigger advantage on the battlefield. These abilities are the power to store aura up to a high point and unleash it in small or large amounts depending on how much she stored and the second was a secret ability. She explained that her second ability was teleportation that could correlate with her aura storing and unleashing ability. Lastly, she explained that she had a best friend whose name was Arora Akuma, the former Red Pistol. She was Rayne's mother and Rurima didn't want her to die during the last great war so she used her second ability to teleport Arora far away from the battle. When the battle was all said and done, Lucas told Rurima that she killed Arora to serve her own selfish reasons and that it almost cost them the peace they needed. Soon after that, Lucas told all the houses what happened and when Rurima tried to explain, none of the houses would listen. Instead, they sided with Lucas, seeing as he was the Great Pistol and a member of the Alden House. Rurima told them that she was exiled and Lucas also disappeared soon after.
Hearing the story, the Pistol’s decided that there was only one logical answer. They would not hand Rurima over to Ouroboros. Instead, they would suffer the consequences as they came. The Pistols knew they had to train themselves harder for Grunthos’ attack. News got back to Lucas that the Pistols had turned down his offer to hand over Rurima. Enraged and surprised at the declined offer, Lucas had gathered two shadow-like people and Grunthos. Snapping his fingers, Lucas gestured to Grunthos, who stood with a smile.
