And while I'm all for slow and steady worldbuilding, I feel like this may need some explanation so you can focus your curiosity on... other things.

These four are known as the Calamity.

Despite their chaotic sounding name, they were actually recruited by Masc to help her bring peace and order to all rooms.

Who are they? Why, let me elaborate!

The dragon is known most commonly by her Calamity name (as they all are), Torch. She has the half curse half power of setting everything she touches aflame. She wears special gloves as to not set entire rooms alight.

The next one, who wears the horned green mask, is Thorn. She has the power of magical manipulation over plants. It has gotten out of control at times, but not as much as some of the other members.

The one in the pink lion mask is, well, Lion. Creative, I know. He's the only boy of the group and has a range of powers too long to list here. He's also the newest member of the group.

And at last, the mystery girl herself, Azure, donning the blue wolf mask! I know you probably figured out her secret identity already, but in case you didn't, she was brought here from the same world as our good friend Marcy. Now you must already know her powers and if not, you'll find out soon.

Now a little extra treat for you all.

Anne had already been here a day.

This was the start of her second.

This whole thing was crazy, in her opinion.

First, she spends two whole days in a kooky world of giant bugs and talking frogs, the next she's in the middle of nowhere?

And somewhere along the way she developed magic powers?

Crazy.

Suddenly, a bright light appeared in the cave she'd slept in.

When she adjusted her eyes, a cloaked figure in a monochrome dragon mask was there where the light had been.

"Why hello there, Anne!" she (at least she thought it was a she) began.

"I bet you're a bit confused by my presence, aren't you?"

"My name is Masc. And I'm here to ask you if you want to get out of this cave.

"You see, I have a proposal I think you'd rather like."

After the initial confusion, they ended up forming the group and seeking out the strongest members.

All, of course, with a common goal.

Find their friends and leave (even if it seems like Torch and Thorn have already given up).

Of course, when Anne finally found Marcy, she didn't want to hurt or scare her.

But she remembered what happened last time someone went against orders.

They had their memories of the mission erased.

She couldn't apprehend her best friend, but she'd finally found her.

She didn't know what to do.

She wanted to tell the others why she didn't want to participate in this mission, but she knew Marcy would recognise her voice, so she gestured the others into a team huddle of sorts.

"Guys, I can't do this," she whispered. "I know the taller one; she's my friend. You've gotta understand, I can't do this one."

She knew they all had friends of their own they were searching for, so they'd understand.

"Ok," Torch replied. "You can sit this one out. But unless anyone knows the red head, we're gonna continue."

"No, I don't want her getting hurt," she protested, her voice rising a little.

"We won't hurt her, we'll be extra careful," Thorn jumped in.

"We promise, right guys?" Lion added reassuringly.

Thorn and Torch both nodded, Torch's body language sighing in disappointment.

So Azure painfully stepped back, trying to stop tears forming in her hidden eyes, full faith in her teammates.

Full hope that Marcy would be ok...
