“Okay, everyone, gather around!” Jonathan exclaimed as he made a gesture with his hand, calling various victims of the bus accident. He had counted all of the remaining passengers and noted that only a few remained. Out of all 66 passengers, only 10 made it out alive.
“What am I going to do now?” Jon mutters to himself as he paces back and forth, looking for an answer on his phone. All eyes were looking at him; they were trembling and seemed a bit nervous. Though one man seemed irritated by the young lad's indecisiveness at the moment and wanted to voice his complaints at him, this man seemed to be in his mid-thirties, dressed in formal wear. His overall appearance allowed one to think he was highly intelligent—not just his fancy suite but his body language and how he conducts himself.
The irritated man spoke out with a deep and charismatic voice, “Well, youngster, it doesn't seem like you quite understand the situation we are in.”
“Look all around us at the chaos that's going on; there are monsters everywhere, and if one of them sees us, it will attack.” He spoke out again, using reasonable logic.
He kept on talking while not waiting for Jon's replies.
“How are we going to travel from here to the police station? Do you even know why there are so few of us that survive?”
“There were others that went outside the crash bus before you and were killed and eaten,” he also pointed out.
“Yeah, that's so true.” Some of the people within the crowd shouted out, agreeing with the gentleman.
“There is nothing here but chaos and death. The best option for us is to wait for the government or someone to rescue us.” The intelligent gentleman bellied out to prove his point.
“So what are you all saying to me exactly? Waiting for rescue isn't even a better plan.” Jon stated fiercely as he stared deeply into their souls.
“Just doing nothing while waiting for a solution that will never come is cowardly,” he keeps saying to all of them, still staring.
“What is so cowardly about wanting to live and not die recklessly?” the gentleman questioned the young lad.
“Of course it is cowardly; sitting on your asses, shaking like a newborn, not doing anything till those beasts kill you all one by one, is the very definition of the word.” Jonathan replied to his question.
The gentleman stood there, flustered and unable to speak, as if he were a mine trap inside an invisible box. He was motionless and speechless ever since the words were said to him. Even the people who agreed with him before were silent, looking like mannequins.
“If we can't go back and can't go around it, then we must move forward, pushing past all the things blocking our survival.” Jon spoke with all his chest, his motivating words echoing in the hearts of few.
Then, all of a sudden, he came up with an idea. While looking through his phone previously, he discovered something interesting. He had noticed that on his phone there was an app called the Dungeon system. When he pressed the app icons, he saw multiple different options. There are various different options, such as item storage, quest lists, maps, and player status, and the thing that catches his eye is the party system.
He noticed this and thought to himself that creating a party would help beat the monster quickly enough to protect the weaker ones.
"Maybe I should use my analytical skills to see if anyone has incredible skills to form the party.” Jon mutters under his breath.
Jon told all the passengers to gather in a line. Jon then activated his skill called analyze, and his eyes turned blue and emitted a bit of a glow.
“ huh? Why isn't there a cost?” Jonathan was shocked and confused by this for a moment. But he still continued with what he was doing.
He examined each person's stats individually. He was searching for an individual with a skill that would be great for protecting and helping with combat. Out of all the ten people, only three (3) individuals had the capability for combat. Or was a very able body to be able to fight with him.

Jonathan had a large grin on his face, as if he were finally saying that this was what he was looking for. Though he was slightly disappointed that one of the party members would be the same smart guy who questioned his leadership, Jon continued to believe that this group would be able to keep the other seven safe while traveling. He instructed each of the three to open their phones and launch the Dungeon app.
“Hey, what hell are you telling us to do exactly?” said Steve, questioning Jon's leadership once more.
“Everything you did up until now seems to be nonsense. First, you call us to stand in line while you stare at us,” he kept bellyaching towards Jonathan.
“Now you're telling us to play some game on our phones or something?” Steve is still speaking to Jon instead of following what he told him to do.
Jonathan looked at him and then sighed as he started looking around for something. While the others stood there, they were also unsure of why he told them to look for this app on their phones.
Jon found the hunting spear he had used on the first monster, and he then placed it on the ground. And he also took out several green lizards’ fangs and activated his skill called Alchemy Smith. He combines both the fang and spears. 3 Dungeon credits were used for this process, just like previous times.
[ Fang spear (low E) has been created.]
A fang spear is a weapon created using a green lizard fang. It is decently sharp but is best used for thrusting due to its pointed tip. The best depiction of this weapon would be that it looks like a large fang with rope used to keep it attached to its pole.
Steve also shouted out questions again, as if he were a student looking for answers to a test. “What is that for? Why are you making that?”
Jon yet again ignored him and walked past him, then went to the bus wreckage. He then searched from top to bottom but found nothing, but when he went outside, he saw a long iron. He wasn't sure if this originated from another place or from a portion of the bus that was involved in the collision. He did the same as before and placed both the lizard fang and the long iron rod on the ground. Both of these items began to glow, and then the item became a fang spear as well.
"Okay, finally, I'm done with making these, though it does cost me 6 DC.” Jon stated this after finishing making two fang spears.
Jonathan sighed and walked toward the three people he had selected. He handed two of the men a spear. Jon then stared at them and asked, “Why are you guys being difficult? That app is no game; it's serious, just like monsters that appear out of nowhere.”
“Even with these powers, I just used it to make those two spears.” Jon kept speaking to the three of them.
“We had to use these abilities to help combat these beasts in order to survive. and continue to live." He uses his words to persuade others as well.
They all became stunned for a moment, but started to take out their phones after that. They were both in a state of shock and confused by the presence of the Dungeon app. They launched the app and started to look for the party system option. Jon's words had truly reached them and made them see him in a new light.
A thunderous roar could be heard from a distance; it seems like a green lizard has found its new prey. All three of them tap the party system option; even Jonathan taps the option as well. Send the party invites to the three people before him, ready
[Would you like to form a party with these people?]
[Yes/No]
While they all have their fingers hovering over the options, the green lizards begin to run at top speeds towards. They all hurry to tap the yes option immediately. A blue chain made of light runs through all four of their bodies; it first goes from Jonathan next to Melissa, then through the rest of the two. Their eyes glow with a blue light, and their bodies hover for a short moment. They felt a sense of connection between each other, a bond that made them closer than anything.
The green lizard ran towards them and then slashed after them. Jon, as the vanguard block blows, then slashes after the beast with his knife. The beast screams loudly in agony and develops a gash on its arm, pouring blood everywhere.
Now that he realised it was his moment to take charge, Jonathan took a deep breath and considered his next course of action.
