Chapter 1, Part 4: First Steps

(Aiden still walking)

…EEP*

*STEEP*

*Step*

(He takes this last step out of the door size hallway, when it makes contact with the floor the sound it makes was as sudden as his decision to find a way home and to help others  do the same.)

Aiden: (while looking back and forth between the hall and the map.) “The first one goes on a bit, about 15 feet, -” (He starts to draw the hall on the blank paper with the crayon.)  “- till a small opening just big enough for at most someone about half the age of a middle aged man to fit through, And about 20 feet further the hall ends with a dark shadowy spot.”

(He draws the room on the map and he makes his way in easily, and walks to the direction of the middle of the room, rubbing his hand on a pillar and stopping when he gets to it.)

Aiden: (Looking around) “it appears to be a small square shaped room with four pillars half way between the wall and the middle of the room.” (He pauses and looks up.) “The pillars also don't reach the ceiling apparently… Strange.”

 (He begins to look around at the floor) 

Aiden: (as he's still looking at the floor) “there are also multiple outlets in this room, which looks to be five. One outlet in the middle of the room and four in the corners of the room” (He draws an outlet shape next to the room, on the map and a number five next to the picture.)

(He thinks about how the outlets would be nice if they worked.)

Aiden: (with a curious and a bit excited look on his face.) “I'll have to try and see if these work if I can find something that needs electricity laying about.” 

(He turns back to the entrance of the room.) 

Aiden: (while he's looking at the entrance) “I better get back out there and scope out this hallway just in case I missed something.”

(He walks back into the hallway, and continues walking down it in the direction he was walking before.)
