If I'm being honest, I'm a pretty pessimistic guy. I'm the kind of person that needs to save all the birthday cards I've ever received, because they remind me that people still care about me. It's easy to watch the news and feel like everything is falling apart: our nihilistic tendencies are strong. We have to remind ourselves that despite all the horrible stats and figures, there will be goodness somewhere in the darkness as long as we stick together.
