Am I dead ...?
My hand was tingling, but I didn't feel any pain.
I opened my eyes, and I saw the electricity disperse around me.
How could this be? I questioned my eyes.
I took another hit, another, and another.
With every attack, the electric charge didn't hurt, it felt familiar, like it had been part of me for a long time.
With the last hit, I swung back with my stick. Surprisingly, it caught the lightning, and it got enveloped by it. In shock, I shook my hand, but it didn't disappear and it didn't hurt. It was like I was holding a weapon. No, more like an extension of my arm.
I braced myself and got ready,
“It's time to put all my years of training into action. This is my chance to fight. This is what I was waiting for my whole life.”
I began by dodging and sprinting, deflecting each strike.
I felt faster, stronger, lighter, most importantly, I felt more confident and clear-minded. I used every technique I learned over the years to my advantage. I jumped up and down, spun, rolled, and backflipped. A dance that confused the beast.
Now came the crucial part. Close-range combat. The cloud beast sensed the danger. It swiftly flapped its wings. This created a massive sand cloud that obscured my vision. All my eyes could see was the stick in my hand, glowing brightly. The beast's patterns also glowed through the dust cloud, revealing its location as it prepared to attack again.
I snapped the stick in half, and now both pieces were glowing like two daggers. It felt as if I were holding lightning itself. But here was the thing - the stick wasn't magical or anything. It was just a regular wooden stick.
There must've been a reason behind this mysterious power.
The more I focused, the more the electricity formed into a blade, two blades that felt familiar. My favorite, dual sword style.
I shifted left and right, swinging my blade, and it blocked the attack with its claws.
Such power - such force!
But this time, I had a chance to fight back.
I applied more pressure to the blades, and it charged up even more with a stronger, brighter hue. The sticks transform into Ashe without me even realizing it. The giant bird let out a loud screech, feeling the pain I inflicted. That was when I knew what I must do. It was time to end this.
I twisted my body as I pushed with my blades and I cut off its talons, followed it the left leg.
Sprinting behind it, I placed my foot on the nearest rock and used the momentum to jump high enough to land on its back.
I was on top of it. It felt so fluffy, like I had landed on a bed made of cotton.
The cloud beast went crazy, turned its long neck to face me and it tried to hit me with its pickaxe-like beak. I dodged and went for the killing blow. My blade stabbed it, passing through its neck like a knife through butter. Then I used the other one to slice it in half.
The head fell to the ground, and its body followed, as its warm blood poured like a fountain soaking my body.
