S'ral is an unintentional immigrant from another dimension. His latest scrap with Captain Chaos leaves him blind and trapped in an abandoned underground laboratory. After escaping the lab and shapeshifting into his human alter ego, Henry Horn, he stumbles across a street kid named Joel, who thinks Henry is high and that he's to blame. Joel agrees to take Henry to a halfway house, but his plans are thwarted by police presence and he takes Henry to his apartment instead.
