Chameleon Code is an action-packed thriller set in a distant future, where everyday life is tightly controlled by electronic devices and AI. The protagonist, Detective Anima Sinner, finds himself at the center of the action. As he prepares for a brief vacation, Detective Sinner identifies Chameleon, a digital identity thief connected to one of the recent cases his investigative agency is handling. In an attempt to evade capture, Chameleon (who is an extremely gifted computer expert) hacks the train's digital surveillance systems, swapping her digital identity with that of the detective. This sets off a high-stakes pursuit by control droids, who mistakenly target Detective Sinner while he relentlessly pursues Chameleon. However, as Detective Sinner finally corners Chameleon, he is forced to confront the possibility that the true criminal is not so much Chameleon but those who hired Sinner's agency to investigate the case.
