The Riders make their way to Terabyte city and see it overrun by Raiders. Tuga and Ruby decide to try and divert their attention away from Zafira and Sebal. This would give Zafira and Sebal enough time to get to the Capital. With everyone in agreement, Tuga and Ruby gain the attention of the Raiders. As the Raiders are distracted with Tuga and Ruby, Zafira and Sebal make their way to Lord Mercury. During this Sebal asks Zafira why she is hellbent on helping people. Zafira mentions how her parents believed in the goodness of people. Even though their main goal was the preservation of wildlife, Zafiras parents believed that Humans and Machina were kind in nature much like the wildlife of Cobalus. "It is in our nature as living beings to help each other. Whether it be our own species or the planet we live on, cooperation is how we survive. Beings that fight with themselves end up going extinct. Something Humans are too familiar with." Says Zafira. Moved by her conviction, Sebal and Swordtooth intend to see is Zafiras words were true and stop Mercury.

Zafira and Sebal arrive at the Capital and see a massive hole were the doors once were. Neo and Swordtooth sense the energy of the Neogiga inside the building. They enter the main office of the building, which has been converted into a temporary throne room. Neo and Swordtooth see the Neogiga standing next to a hill were Lord Mercury sits on a makeshift throne. "So the traitor shows his face one more. And he's brought his friend, the bastard child of man and machine." Says Lord Mercury. Mercury gets off his throne and walks down the hill. He proclaims that Sebal could have had everything he wants had Sebal not joined the Raiders. "Bullshit! I became clear to me the moment you released that monster. You took everything from me! My home, my family, EVERYTHING!" Sebal says with unrestrained rage. Mercury scoffs at the things Sebal said and mentions the war. "You think a few townsfolk matter to me. I've seen what these machines can do before any of you were born." Mercury says before revealing his body, a machine with a human brain inside and a human face were the machines face would be. "How is this possible? No wonder you want to get rid of the Machina, you monster." Zafira says with visible disgust and anger. Lord Mercury laughs and orders the Neogiga to kill the Riders. The Neogiga disobeys this order, remembering what the humans did to it. Fueled by rage, the Neogiga bites down on Mercury and rips him in half. The Riders look in horror as the Neogiga roars in pain and anger.

Outside the Capital, Tuga and Ruby continue to gain the attention of the Raiders. Just then, Torta and Vermilla stop running after hearing the Neogigas roar, paralyzed by fear. All of the Mekanimals the Raiders are on also stop. Tuga and Ruby turn around and see Zafira, Neo, Sebal, and Swordtooth exit the Capital. Zafira screams for everyone to run as the Neogiga burst out of the building. Seeing the Neogiga without Mercury, Copperhead orders the Raiders to attack the gigantic theropod. One by one, with furious rage, the Neogiga crushes the Raiders forces. Either it be through cannon fire or the jaws of the Neogiga, the Raiders fell to its might. Ironjaw bites the leg of the Neogiga to no avail. The Neogiga bites Ironjaw, lifts the crocodile in the air, and rips its head clean off. Cooperhead tries to escape only to be crushed by the body of Ironjaw. The Neogiga proceeds to lay waist to the city before noticing the Riders. Just when it seems like the Riders would be next, they hear a rumbling coming from the distance. They turn and see the Cobalan defenders arrive at Terabyte city. With the help of the Defenders, the Riders find the resolve to bring down the Neogiga for all of Cobalus.
