I was in the hospital for a few days so I wasn't able to update my journal. Just got home yesterday but was too tired to do much. I'll write a proper entry about everything that happened later.

Turns out that case I was hired to work on was a bit more of a big thing than I thought it would be and now I have Power Exhaustion. Sucks. Melanie asked if I want to crash with her and Young-Mi but I think I'll be okay on my own. I wouldn't want them to have to deal with paparazzi, which seem to be hovering around wherever I go now.

I've got to do a lot of resting which means I have time to watch that show the nurse left the TV playing when I was too tired to get out of bed to reach the remote. I think they were reruns from season one. I need to it up. It was called 'Romance' something.

Apparently, Romance Splits is on season six right now?? My gods. I have a backlog to work through. I guess that's okay. I have time. Doctor Hailu wants me resting and I'm still too tired to do much of anything anyway. Just started watching the show from the beginning. The family in it is so damn cute! August didn't realize they were genderfluid at the beginning?? Now the eps I saw in the hospital make more sense! Also, it takes place in a world without CoL powers, so the stakes are totally different.

MY GODS WON'T THEY JUST TALK TO ONE ANOTHER?! You'd think they'd realize that was their problem after the way season one ended but now I'm almost done with season two.

I want to shake Aug and Beau. I wouldn't kill either of them if I did it right now so they'd be fiiiiiine.

I forgot to send Dr. Hailu an update on how I've been doing the last few days. I haven't been doing the self-assessment stuff with my powers like I'm supposed to. I've been a bit distracted.

Tried to explain the Romance Splits show to her and how literally ALL of the conflicts would be resolved if Beau and Aug would stay on the same page for more than an hour, but that it's still super fun to watch, and while there aren't any CoLs in the story's world the actors who play the kids are both award winning CoL actors who are going to be at CoLCon this summer here in Austin. That was about when her eyes glazed over and she facepalmed (we were using a video call.)

She's not happy.

Says I need to be "resting, not binge watching a six year old show" and "it will still be there once you get better." I think she's extra mad I stayed up last night watching the rest of season two and didn't get any sleep. Didn't tell her I did that, she figured it out based on my face. I forgot I can't use my powers to hide that I didn't sleep. Apparently, I 'look like shit' today too.

Whoops. ^_^;

I guess I'll have to pace out watching Romance Splits from now on. >_>

(Happy April Fool's Day! I hope you've enjoyed this little extra bonus thing! A few of us did a cover exchange for April 1st today and I got Romance Splits, by Hue of the Rodimus13 team! Their book is wonderful, by the way and the sort of thing Page would get hooked by then hyper-fixate on watching it instead of resting. Please go check out Romance Splits if you'd like to read a romantic comedy about a married couple navigating their intense love for one another.

While this is a silly thing, these journal entries from Page are gonna be one hundred percent canon to Book of CoL. They really got sucked into watching this show right after leaving the hospital.
