This chapter was originally 2 separate chapters. In the previous version the chapter ends when Skateboard Samurai is standing outside the mall wondering if he can find a Teck De... I mean fingerboard.

Chapter 1 took me 6 months to finish so I wanted to make the chapters shorter to save more time. I asked a few friends what they thought and most of them figured it wouldn't be a good idea. They said something along the lines of "The first chapter should establish what the reader should expect going forward, including the length and stuff."

In the end I doubled the chapters length and stuck to that same length going forward. Because of this it took me over a year to reach my quota of 5 chapters before posting anything online, but I'm glad I stuck to it. My skills/speed with drawing has improved a lot thanks to that experience.

Now it takes me a little over a month to finish a chapter (everything from writing to colouring). Maybe that's pretty standard for many artists on this platform, many of which have much better art than myself. But I'm still proud of the progress I've made and I know I'm just getting started.
