An insight into Robespierre's hopes and dreams. He perhaps suffered the common autistic experience of growing up very quickly (his Dad quickly abandoned the family after his Mum died), and experiencing deep empathy for others, but failing to express that on the outside, where he was instead misinterpreted as being disinterested and proud.
Of course the more personal inner thought stuff is to an extent my interpretation- but I've been assured by a few different phd Historians that my interpretation is a valid one, so I guess make of it what you will hehe :3
Alas, post-revolution we may have escaped the rule of the aristocracy and benefitted from a weakened clergy, but capitalism quickly took their place to ensure that the poor remain poor and the new equivalent of the aristocracy gets filthy rich, leading to an even less equitable distribution of richness.
A short comic exploring Maximilien Robespierre- a introverted and eccentric small town lawyer, whose odd personality and strong commitment to remaining true to his values, ended up causing him much trouble in the chaotic and fear mongering whirlwind of the French Revolution.
