I got up acting like I just woke up, brushed my teeth, went through the motions of getting ready and slowly walked out the door to join my friends for another hour long ride. When I got in the car everyone wanted to go to the mall except River because her parents wanted her to go to dance practice today. So we went there without her in Energy's car. They let Zelda drive because she didn't want me on Rockey's lap. It took a while to get to the mall so I packed a snack, asteroid bar which is my favorite candy bar in the entire galaxy. I brought other snacks from my house for everyone else making sure I gave Energy, their favorite candy bar, a trix bar. At the mall we all rushed to the clothes store to get matching jackets. After looking around the mall a little more, getting sneakers, boots, and pants, we all were a little tired and hungry from all the walking so we went to the food court all of us ordered. I got 4 flawfels with rubett and syrup like usual I was the only one who got breakfast food. Everyone else got normal lunch food.

After everyone ate we left the mall and got back in the car. This time I gave everyone their favorite snacks and a couple extra for me and Energy. On the way home we ate all the snacks and made a mess in the car but Energy was getting it cleaned tomorrow anyway so they weren't mad. We got to my house and Energy asked if they could stay over. I really wanted them to but I had something to do so I told them and they sadly walked back to the car and waved to me while they drove off. I went into the house and went to sleep to prepare for the next target.

I woke up at around 2 and got dressed in all black to go out. I took my mom's car again because they always leave their keys in the same spot and headed out. I snuck past the guards and unlocked steel's door and went to her desk I opened every drawer accept for 1 it was locked I picked the lock with a straight pin and opened the drawer inside there was a handgun a few pictures of her and Commander when they were together I moved everything out of the way and found a letter. "Steel wrote a letter to the Commander?" I whispered suddenly I heard the door start to open. In a panic I went under the desk and waited. My heart started beating fast as their footsteps got closer and I saw a pair of boots standing in front of me shit I said in my head It was quiet for a moment and I squeezed my eyes shut

"What are you doing here soldier?" I opened my eyes to Sargent Axel "I don't think you should be here either" She held out her hand and I took it as I tried to balance myself. Wait Sargent Axel is here? 'is she here to cover something up' I said in my head and as if she could hear my thoughts she pulled me out of the room and snuck us back outside "I didn't kill Solar" she said letting go of my hand "I didn't say anything about Commander" I responded "You didn't have to, I came here looking for answers the other night I saw you leaving Violet Sunns office (So that was the glint of metal) I assumed you'd be here sooner or later so I waited." "Fine if that's true do you want to work together?" "No. I came here to tell you to leave, you're just a kid you don't know what you're doing". "But I got in and out of Violet's office without anyone spotting me." "I did. Which means other people could have. This is to dangerous for you" "No its not I've made it through an entire world war" "During that war you were barely deployed others were deployed dozens of times you barely earned the status of veteran now it's time to get out of here before someone sees you." "No I've gotten this far I can do it myself. I have to for Commander" "You're leaving now and that's it your parents are probably worried about you"

I looked down at my watch and saw it was almost 5 my moms wake up at 6 so I had to get home as fast as possible I ran past Axel and out of the base while she continued searching. I hurried into my car and while driving I broke almost every traffic law possible. I got into the bed as my moms got up for work they left me in the house by myself for the first time in a while so I got to sleep in until noon, when I woke up I brushed my teeth and then went downstairs to eat, after that I went to the the living room to watch some VT. After grabbing my phone from upstairs I got a message from Energy

"Hey you up"

"I actually just woke up a couple of hours ago you?"

"I am still in bed feeling kind of sick"

"When did you get sick?"

"Last night my dad got sick and stored it to everyone else"

"Do you want me to come over?"

"No I wouldn't want you to get sick"

"I'm coming over, I need you to get well as fast as possible"

"But you might get sick"

"I'm going to be fine do you even remember me getting sick ever"

"That one time when we were 4"

"Exactly"

"I guess you make a good point"

"But how are you gonna get here"

"Don't worry ill be there soon"

"k see you then"

20 minutes later I was knocking on Energys door. "What are you doing here Geia?" Mr. D asked "Oh I just came here to see Energy. I come bearing gifts" I said holding my hands out with a gift basket filled with common cold medicines Mr. A took the basket and invited me in "They're in her room, oh and you may need this for later kid" he said tossing me a bottle of cough medicine I caught it and continued up the steps and down the hallway to Energys room "Hey! you're looking fantastic with those tissues" I joked "Thank you" they said smiling I took my shoes off and curled up with Energy "At least wear a mask" they said handing me one. "I told you I don't get sick," I said, putting the mask on the bedside table. "Okay when you're sick too don't blame it on me" Energy said as they pushed closer to me and snuggled into my back.
