The place was abuzz with young people milling about, racers inspecting their bikes while beautiful women accompanied wealthy young men. At the entrance, the racing area was heavily guarded by security, only those with valid identification and tickets were allowed entry.
Near the bike shed, a man named Mark anxiously rubbed his hands together, eagerly awaiting Siren's arrival. He had met her two years ago during a test ride at her shed and was impressed by her driving skills.
After a million aeons of coercion he finally succeeded and Siren made her first debut two years ago.
The racing arena was filled with cheers and excitement as Siren showcased her exceptional driving skills, stunning everyone present. Following her successful debut, she became the reigning champion in all racing events held across Worcester and nearby cities.
As Mark saw Alex entering the yard, he let out a relieved sigh and hurried over to him. "Where's Siren?" he asked anxiously, scanning the area behind Alex. Noticing her absence, he grew tense.
Alex patted Mark's back reassuringly. "Relax, Mark. She'll be here any minute. And even if she's not, I'll take her place," he said with a grin.
Mark nervously chuckled and nodded in agreement.
Siren, who had entered the yard alongside Alex, noticed a familiar figure standing off to the side. She gestured for Alex to go meet Mark and handle the necessary arrangements before making her way over to the person.
As she approached, a young boy rushed towards her and hugged her leg. She smiled lightly and squatted down to his level, pinching his cheeks affectionately. He was dressed in ankle-length, faded blue ripped jeans, paired with a white shirt and a striped sleeveless denim coat.
"You look very handsome," she complimented him.
Aiden blushed at her comment. Siren lifted him into her arms and approached the man who had been leaning against the car, his arms folded, watching them intently. Raven, dressed in a grey self-striped pullover and black suit pants, met her gaze as she addressed him.
"Mr. Raven," she said firmly, locking eyes with his green ones.
Raven stepped forward, his demeanor composed. "Aiden wishes to see your race," he informed her.
Aiden glared at his father who didn't think twice before dragging him through mud.
"Hmm" she simply hummed and didn't ask further as she already guessed he might hear them when they discussed the race in the shed.
Taking advantage of the moment, Aiden planted a kiss on Siren's cheek and wished her good luck. Siren was taken aback by the gesture, surprised by the boy's boldness. She narrowed her eyes playfully but smiled nonetheless, ruffling his hair.
As the race was about to begin, Siren gently set Aiden down and cautioned him not to go near the track. Just as she was about to leave, she heard a deep male voice behind her.
"Good luck," Raven said quietly, his eyes fixed on her.
The father and son duo looked at the departing figure,
"Don't forget about your promise" Raven said to his son.
Aiden sulked thinking about the promise he made with his father in exchange for taking him to today's event.
"Hmph" he turned his face away from his father.
They settled into their seats on the right side of the bleachers, a section reserved for today's race sponsors. Raven, being one of the event's major sponsors and a prominent figure in the business world, relished the privileges that came with his status.
Meanwhile, Aiden positioned himself close to his father, eagerly anticipating the appearance of his favorite racer on the track.
Both their presence create a rustle among the people in bleachers. The women fixed their starry eyes at Raven at the same time they didn't forget to cooed at Aiden's cuteness.
Siren, who had changed her clothes, made her way towards Alex and Mark.
"You are here!" Mark exclaimed happily.
"Hmm. Did you check everything?" she questioned him.
"All fine" he gave her a thumbs up.
As the trio discussed the upcoming match, a man approached Siren from behind and encircled his arms around her waist.
Raven's eyes narrowed at the sight, a shadow passing over his usually vibrant forest green eyes, lending them a dark intense hue.
