Dead Man's card

Missing Little fireball

Missing Little fireball

Apr 15, 2024

Alex sighed as he observed Siren working in the garage, her gaze flickering towards the shed entrance every now and then. He had warned her against getting involved with the Greys, but his daughter's stubbornness knew no bounds. He could already guess who she was expecting. It had become a routine for the certain little fireball to visit the shed before heading home.

Turning away, he noticed a box of fruit jelly cake he had bought from Paopao's restaurant that Aiden had enjoyed last time.

"Hmph! I certainly didn't anticipate his arrival at all"

As it was already late, Siren assumed that he had likely gone home directly. However, her dull eyes lightened a little when she noticed a familiar Mercedes parked in front of the garage. Before she could react, Alex appeared in a flash, brandishing the cake he had brought with him.

"Little fireball, I bought you a cake!" he exclaimed with glee, though a chill ran down his spine as he sensed someone else's gaze nearby. He didn't need to turn around to know whose it was.

He had warned HER to keep distance, not him!

To their disappointment, the figure that emerged from the car wasn't the expected visitor, but instead a man wearing golden-rimmed glasses. Ian bore a serious expression on his face.

"Hello, I am Mr. Raven's secretary," the man began, his voice carrying urgency. "Master told me to check whether the young master came to your shed today."

Alex's frown deepened. "No, he hasn't arrived here yet. What's the matter?"

"Young master is missing. His personal chauffeur didn't see him come out of the school," the secretary explained, concern evident in his tone. He wondered where the little boy could have gone. Though mischievous, he wouldn't typically wander off without notifying anyone—except perhaps here.

With no sign of the young master at the shed, he wasted no time in instructing them to contact him if the boy showed up. Leaving his contact details, he swiftly departed from the scene.

Before Alex could turn to caution Siren against leaving the shed, a black bike zoomed past him with a whoosh, leaving his neatly combed hair in disarray.

His lips twitched. "This girl." Yet, beneath his irritation, he couldn't shake the unease of his little fireball's disappearance.

Siren revved her bike towards Grey's mansion. As she approached, the guards recognized her as the one who had dropped off their boss on a previous occasion. With a nod to each other, they promptly informed the butler of her arrival. Following instructions, they opened the gate for her.

Guided by the butler, Siren made her way to the hall where Raven was seated, leisurely sipping his espresso. Upon hearing her footsteps, he looked up, his green eyes fixing on her.

He saw a bead of sweat and little stray hairs stuck to the side of her forehead. Raven gestured subtly to his butler, Alfred, who understood his master's silent command. Bowing slightly, Alfred swiftly retreated to the kitchen, returning moments later with a glass of water and a pack of tissues.

Siren didn't refuse as she took a sip from the glass and wiped her sweat with the tissue.

"Did you find his location?" she questioned Raven.

Raven could see right through her concern for his son, he stated nonchalantly, "I did. He was kidnapped by one of my rivals".

There is no point in hiding when she was aware of his involvement in the underground.

Siren narrowed her eyes wondering what this man was doing here sipping coffee rather than saving his son. Does he not care about his own blood?.

He chuckled and stood up from the couch. He adjusted his coat and said, "Relax, Aiden is not someone easy to deal with"

He walked to the front door and asked her, "You coming?"

When the chauffeur brought the car around, Raven took the key from him and started the engine, waiting for Siren to join him in the passenger seat. However, she remained stationary, prompting Raven to raise an eyebrow in inquiry.

"I will follow you on my bike," she stated flatly.

Raven's expression darkened. "Do you think we have that much time on our hands?" he countered, his tone grim.

For the sake of the little boy, Siren took the passenger seat and buckled up. Raven smirked subtly, satisfied with her compliance, before starting the car and heading towards their destination.

Meanwhile, Aiden found himself in the company of Antonio, the leader of Black Scorpio, after being kidnapped by the group's henchmen. The two of them sat across from each other in the base, locked in a silent, tense standoff.

Aiden's eyes begin to hurt from seeing the man's shiny golden middle tooth.

In the dim, desolate confines of an abandoned subway, a man stumbled, his grasp unsteady on a half-empty bottle of alcohol. His once-groomed appearance now betrayed by overgrown stubble and disheveled hair, his bloodshot eyes bore the weight of endless tears.

As he faltered, a jagged stone sliced across his forehead, drawing a trickle of blood. Yet, the physical pain paled in comparison to the anguish gripping his heart.

Slumping against the cold, graffiti-stained walls, he gazed vacantly at the oppressive sky, tears silently tracing down his cheeks. With a heavy heart, he shut his eyes, only for fresh waves of despair to wrench anguished sobs from his chest. In a fit of anguish, he hurled the bottle, shattering it against the unforgiving concrete, mirroring the shattered pieces of his soul.

A piercing scream shattered the silence, jolting him from his desolation. Instinctively, he stumbled toward the source, his vision blurred by the enveloping darkness. Guided by the cries, he pressed forward, his steps faltering but resolute.

Each scream pierced the air like a dagger, leading him to a decrepit shed at the end of the subway. With a door already splintered, he entered, his gaze sweeping over the rusty remnants of forgotten machinery and discarded debris.

A sickening squelch beneath his shoe drew his attention downward, revealing a pool of crimson staining the ground. His breath hitched, dread coursing through his veins as he followed the macabre trail, his heart pounding in his ears.

And then, he beheld the horror before him, a scene so grotesque it froze him in terror.

He retreated back with eyes full of fear before asking, "Wh... wh... what are you doing?".

"Please… help me."
