Long ago it was discovered that Earth had its own "parallel" planet known as Bechamel, inhabited by a variety of creatures known as victus. Much of Bechamel mirrors Earth, from language and evolution, to historical events and natural disasters. Research extended to create a “world between worlds”, that could be used to travel safely between Earth and Bechamel. This pocket-dimension of sorts is called The Roux.
Fondant, a succubus from Espelette, and John, a human from Ohio, must form an unlikely bond between themselves and others they come across in order to locate The Fugu Hairpins, rare artifacts that could tear their worlds apart if they fall into the wrong hands.
