The royal show is kind of like a carnival in Australia that comes every year around the end of September. Or for context of how long they have been apart now, the end of term 3 of school. The story has kind of a back and forth between the 2 guys, Thomas and Finn and typically you can assume both their pages happen within the same time frame. you will see this better soon.
Btw A#### is a friend of Finn's you will meet later but their name will have changed by then to Amira and I didn't find it particularly important to say their dead name so A#### will do for now

Once he comes back 6 years later he seems like a completely different person, his closest friend before his move is conflicted between getting back in touch and is worried about opening old wounds from how their friendship ended. (This is a story that takes place in Australia, WA and goes between both the main character's perspectives)
