Siren could feel the warmth radiating from Raven's body as he wrapped his arm around her. Despite the thick layers of fabric separating them, the area where he held her waist felt burning.
She reminded herself that now wasn't the time to lose focus. With her hand resting on Aiden's shoulder, she turned her attention to the people inside the office.
"I'm Aiden's mother," she announced.
Aiden felt as though he'd swallowed a whole bottle of honey upon hearing his mother's declaration. He flashed a grin at Jason, who was now staring at his mother dumbfoundedly. Of Course his mother is the most beautiful woman in the world. With a sense of pride swelling within him, he puffed up his chest and stood proudly beside his parents.
Eleanor's eyes widened as she saw her. It wasn't that she hadn't heard about the news of Raven's marriage to a bike racer. However, like many others, she had believed it to be nothing more than a rumor fabricated for entertainment in high-class society.
She struggled to come up with words but when she thought about her son’s expulsion from school she couldn’t hold back her tongue, "A woman who just got married can't claim to be a mother," she scoffed at Siren.
Siren moved away from Raven's embrace and approached Eleanor gracefully. With her hands folded elegantly, she spoke calmly, "Is that so? Then a woman who failed to teach her son manners also can't claim to be a mother, right?" she raised her brows in question.
Eleanor gritted her teeth. "It was your son who started the fight first," she said angrily.
Siren smirked in response. "Now you acknowledge that I am his mother?"
Siren approached Eleanor, and whispered in her ear. "Hotel Spring, Room no 172. I heard Mrs. Eleanor is a regular there."
Eleanor's eyes widened in shock, her face flushing with embarrassment. She quickly moved away from her, stammering, "You... you... How did you...?"
Siren returned back to Aiden's side and looked at her with a dark expression, "I hope Mrs. Eleanor now understands who is at fault?"
Eleanor, unable to retaliate, bit the inside of her cheek and bowed before Siren. "I apologize for my son's actions, Mrs. Grey."
The onlookers observed the scene with bewilderment. Just moments ago, this woman had been vehemently accusing Aiden's upbringing, but after a quiet exchange with Mrs. Grey, she had seemingly turned over a new leaf.
This new wife of Mr. Grey is indeed powerful!
"Of course, it's your son who is wrong. And how are you going to teach him?" Siren questioned, her electric blue eyes boring into Eleanor's with a sharp gaze silently threatening to expose her affair to the world if necessary.
Eleanor tightly clenched her hands, her heart aching as she glanced at her son's slightly swollen face, a result of her husband's slap from the day before. Despite the pain, she felt she had no choice. If she wanted to salvage her marriage life, she knew she had to comply.
She moved towards her son and delivered a hard slap to his cheek. Jason was shocked, pain and surprise mingling as tears began to stream down his face. Tears welled up in Eleanor's eyes as she looked at him, her heart breaking at the sight of his son but she didn't stop. With a heavy heart, she delivered another hard slap to the other side of his cheek.
Siren's lip twitched as she addressed Eleanor. "Tch... Mrs. Eleanor, asking your son to sincerely apologize to my son is more than enough. I didn't expect you to resort to violence. Now I understand where your son learned such behavior," she remarked nonchalantly.
Eleanor was dumbfounded. If you are not telling me to beat my son with your sharp gaze then why didn’t you stop me at the first strike. Such a scheming woman!.
A sexy chuckle echoed in the silent room, revealing Raven's amusement as he watched his wife's actions. "She's such an interesting woman," he mused, his eyes twinkling with mirth.
Meanwhile, Eleanor's hatred for Siren burned hotter in her heart as she forcefully dragged her crying son out of the office.
"I am truly sorry for my son's and wife's behaviour, Mrs. Grey," Jonathan said, bowing politely as he apologized to Siren.
Siren remained silent as she observed the man before her. Raven approached her, wrapping his arms around her waist once again. With a serious tone, he warned Jonathan,
"Keep control over your family, Mr. Jonathan. It won't be a mere expulsion next time."
Jonathan swallowed nervously, nodding obediently before following his wife and son out of the office.
Raven turned his attention to the people inside the office, "I don't want anything like today to happen again," he declared firmly, his tone carrying a weight of authority. "Otherwise, I will erase the trace of Imperial Academy from the history of Worcester."
The director of the academy couldn't help but curse Jason's family for putting him in the Grey family’s mouth. Despite his frustration, he quickly assured Raven, "Surely, Mr. Grey. It won't happen again, and I will make sure of it."
Without a response, Raven led Siren and his son out of the office. Once outside Aiden held her mother’s hand and looked up at her, “Thank you mother” he said in a timid tone.
Siren smiled softly and patted his head, “You don’t need to. It's my duty”
“Go to your class. Your driver will pick you up in the evening” Raven instructed his son who was unwilling to depart from his mother. He left only after hearing that she is moving to Grey’s mansion today. He kissed her mother’s cheek and ran towards his class.
After his son departed, Raven glanced at Siren and said casually, "The dress suits you," nodding approvingly at her attire.
Siren felt a bit awkward at the compliment but didn’t show it on her face. She calmly responded, "Alex chose it. He said it's not suitable to wear my casual clothes for the first meeting."
Raven simply hummed in response and drove Siren to the shed before heading to his office.
