(When Kai he'd gotten to the whole 'Wammawink was working for Masc the whole time' bit, he decided that he still didn't entirely forgive her, but he wasn't about to rat her out to the other two.)

"Wait," Dipper said after they'd finished. "How come I was never let in on Kai having fire powers?"

There was a moment of awkward silence and careful floor observation.

"Sorry..." Marcy began. "I guess I forgot to mention that bit..."

Dipper looked ever so slightly peeved, but eventually sighed.

"I guess that's ok," he replied, a small smile crossing his face.

"I think I should also mention that I have something to travel between rooms with," she said quickly.

"What?" Wammawink and Dipper said in unison.

"Should we use it?" Wammawink asked.

"Well I don't see why not, if everyone else is ok with it!" she replied.

Kai gave a thumbs up, Dipper nodded and Lapras gave an affirmative chirrup.

So Marcy found a suitable tree (not hard) and opened the portal.

On the way to the next room, Kai couldn't help feeling guilty about what had happened earlier.

He could've burnt down the entire room. 

He could've killed someone.

Killed someone!

He needed to be more careful in the future.

He was determined not to be the reason for anyone getting hurt.

He was dragged out of his thoughts by the not yet familiar light of the next room.
