I didn’t talk to her the entire ride because I would have spilled the surprise. But turns out she is the one that surprised me.

Is she serious? Am I the first one to take her to the beach? I got to give her a new experience? What kind of luck is this? Oh god, thanks for making our first date memorable for us both.

Just like the thoughts, I felt blood rushing to my cheek. I covered my face with my hand to hide my smile.

I looked at her. Our eyes met, she was shorter than me but tall enough, staring with her big doe eyes, cheeks flushed. Her simple long white sundress flowed in the wind like her silky chocolate hair.

OH, the things I will do for this woman.

“Should we take a walk?” I broke the silence

“Uhm…yeah” she stuttered

We started walking opposite to the direction of resort. I used to see a woman in my dreams. They were clear and vivid dream except the face of the woman. I didn’t know who she was until I met Kayda at the party at our house. I know for a fact there is a link between the dreams and the reality. I never told anyone about these dreams but I know she has been having dreams, or nightmares to be precise. Kai accidently revealed that when he was drunk.

I fell in love with her before seeing her at the party or knowing that she was the woman in my dreams. She probably doesn’t even remember that part, but I will never forget it.

I was 9 at that time, she was five. When we had a party back in my county Everglade, I got lost in the woods of the estate my parents owned. I remember this young girl finding me by herself when the sky was grey

“Dwon be sad, I’m here” she said peeking inside the small cave

“Do u know the way out?” I asked while I wiped away my tears

She thought for a moment before shaking her head for a no.

“Then how will we get out of here?” I whined, tears dwelling up in my eye

“swomeone will find us” she said “when we are together we dwon have to be scared”

A lightning strike followed by a thunder made her jump into my arms, like a scared cat.

It started to pour. The cave was small but big enough to keep us dry. She slept in my arms as I hugged her close, I became brave for her, as she vowed to protected me.

 Our parents found us a bit after sunset, both curled up into a ball keeping each other warm.

“You seem lost in thought” her words brought me back to the present.

“Just took a small dive on the past” I replied

“shouldn’t we go back?” she asked

I looked at the ocean the sun was about to go down the depths of the ocean

“Go back?” I said “this is your first time at the ocean, we are not going back without dipping you in it” I declared.

“What?” she said but before she could protest, I scooped her up in my arms and started walking towards the ocean

“Ash, Ash, please no I don’t have another dress” she whined

“I will arrange a dress for you don’t worry” I assured

“Wait, Wait, Wait No” she started clinging onto me as I swung her lower half into the waves.

She clutched onto me harder as I lost control and fell back in the water with her on top of me. A strong wave swiped over us, drenching us both.

 She held herself up from on top of me.

 She took a piece of kelp from my hair and started laughing.

This is the first time I saw her laugh; how can someone be this captivating?

She fell over next to me as she continued to giggle

This is the best day of my life

We played around a bit more before going back to the resort. By the time we reached there it was pitch black.

I opened the door to our room. Dresses for us to change into was already kept on the bed.

“Is this for me?” she asked

“Yes princess. You can go ahead and change. The bathrooms over there” I pointed to the right corner of the room.

“Ok thanks” she replied with a smile

The date went smooth, she is happy, I am happy.

I don’t want to repeat the mistakes I did on the dream
