Following the incident, Rosa's parents made the decision to put up missing posters and organized a search party for the boy. Despite their efforts, unfortunately, they were unable to locate him.
As much as they wished they could do more, they couldn't. The parents were unsure about Chinu's whereabouts. One day they just...gave up. Mother and Father decided it was time to try another solution: Playdates. As much as they disliked the idea, they had to try something.
Despite having attended numerous playdates, Rosa only managed to make three friends, namely Mildred and Winnie. Mildred was a rough and sturdy farmer, while Winnie was a delicate and petite blonde. Rosa considered them pleasant acquaintances, but not close friends.
For two whole years, Rosa never stopped searching for Chinu. She put in all her effort and tried everything she could think of, but unfortunately, she had no luck finding him. After two long years of searching, she finally gave up and came to the difficult realization that he might be dead. It was a heartbreaking thought, but she eventually accepted it.
Now, instead of hiding, she actively searches for the terrible beasts that terrorize her spacious town. Day and night, she trains herself to become even stronger than before, always keeping her weirdly-shaped, yet trusty sword close by - a gift from her father.
A 14-year-old girl woke up at daybreak and noticed two people waiting for her outside her window. One of them was a short, skinny blonde girl with her hair tied up into a neat single braid. She was wearing a button-up shoulderless dress, socks, and brown sandals. The other person was a tall, light-brown girl with short messy hair. She was wearing brown leggings, sandals, a denim skirt, and a raggedy red shirt.
"Wake up sleepy head!" someone said as a rock was tossed at her window.
Rosa opened it and shouted back at the girls "I'm coming, calm down!"
The girl slammed the window shut and got off her bed. She went to her dresser and changed into her red midi-length modest dress. After changing, she started to brush her black hair, which barely reached her shoulders.
As quickly as she got ready, Rosa was already out the door and was half ready to greet the people waiting outside for her.
"Good morning, Rosa!" The blonde girl, called Winnie, beamed with radiant happiness as she greeted Rosa.
"'Morning"
"Took ya long enough, Rosie," said the other, called Mildred.
"For the last time, it's Rosa!"
"Still got that ice-cold attitude I see. Ain't you got over that BFF thing?"
After Mildred's response, she grabbed Mildred's shirt collar and pulled her close to her face. Although Rosa was 5'6 and Mildred was 6'0, the shorter girl managed to pull her with ease.
"Take that wretched smirk off your face. I never said you could mention chi-"
"STOP!" Winnie exclaimed while pulling Mildred away from Rosa's grasp.
"There is absolutely no time to fight! We came here for a peaceful walk in the forest, right, Mildred?"
"Right," Mildred smirked as she stood up straight.
As the three of them began walking on the path through the forest, Winnie took the middle spot between her friends. The sky was adorned with a beautiful shade of pink, and the sun was just beginning to rise above the horizon. A gentle breeze blew past them, making the leaves of the healthy trees sway gently. The bright green leaves and flowers in full bloom were clear indications that it was the middle of spring. Their walk amidst the natural beauty of the forest was one to enjoy.
