It's as if our first meeting was just a coincidence, or perhaps it was an incomplete encounter.
It was as if that evening was the longest, or perhaps what dominated it most were those incomprehensible feelings. That anger whose cause was not understood, or maybe the reason was just a misunderstanding.
Between evening classes, Hana had an empty hour and decided to spend that free time with her friend in class, Reem. As usual, wherever Reem was, Anwar would be there too, and wherever Anwar was, Reem would be with him. The three headed to the park where they always hung out, enjoying playing cards as usual. Unexpectedly, they found Nadir there too, at the moment when Reem disappeared to buy some snacks. Nadir left before Hana's eyes without realizing it was just a misunderstanding and that the relationship between Hana and Anwar was nothing more than friendship. Without realizing how painful it was, Hana stopped for a few seconds watching him walk away, thinking he would ask about it later, so she let him go and returned to Anwar's side. The hour ended, and Hana still thought about Nadir, wondering why he quickly turned his back without even asking. She kept wondering about the meaning of the message he told her he received from her, unaware that it was Maram who answered him after finding Hana's account online. Since Maram didn't want Nadir to feel that Hana didn't want to answer his messages, she decided to respond to his message, saying after receiving a message asking, "Are you available? Shall we meet?" - ''I have evening classes today.'' Then she closed the account, coincidentally, after reading the message from his phone, Nadir found Hana with Anwar, and by sheer coincidence, Hana was holding Anwar's phone in her hand.
The evening came to an end, and darkness began to envelop the place while the moon shone brightly from the dark horizon. Everyone sat behind their computers now. Hana was waiting for a message from Nadir, and Nadir was confused. Should he message Hana and ask her about what happened today, or should he take his time to organize his thoughts first? As the two sat in silence, Moaaz was staring at the messages between Hana and Maram, shock overtaking his face. He scrolled through the messages between Hana and Nadir, then between Hana and Jihad, unaware that it was Maram who was talking to Jihad, not Hana. A mix of anger and frustration washed over Moaaz's face each time he scrolled through the messages, and he muttered to himself from time to time, ''It wasn't Hana who was talking to me,'' ''It's not her,'' then he scrolled through the messages again. It took him about an hour... or maybe more. After that, he threw the books on the edge of the table onto the floor with force, and without much thought, he decided to copy the messages from Hana's account. Hana, unaware that there was someone else besides her and Maram connected to her account, it was only a few minutes before Nadir messaged her, saying, ''Playing games, huh?'' Hana read the message and looked surprised as she stared at it. She put her fingers on the keyboard to reply to his message, but she received a link from Nadir, clicking on it, she found the conversations between her and Nadir, and even the conversation with Jihad, all leaked.
Hana smiled after seeing that, and then she returned to reply to Nadir and started typing,
"Haha, that's a misunderstanding, I'll explain."
She sent the message, but she quickly received a response from him. Nadir blocked her without knowing its explanation yet. Hana appeared surprised by his action as if she were stunned, then she clasped her hands tightly and bit her lip hard out of anger that overwhelmed her. Without thinking twice, she resent the link to Maram, who also became aware of the situation and seemed confused and afraid. Afraid of losing Jihad and afraid of her brother discovering her online dating. Without much thought, she accessed Hana's account and proceeded to delete her messages with her before they could be leaked as well. As for the leaks' title, it was,
"Secret Dates of the Queen of Hearts."
Hana wasn't concerned because she knew who she was, and whatever rumors circulated wouldn't affect her.
The unfortunate part for her was Nadir's reaction; he didn't bother to ask her anything before jumping to conclusions. Before drifting off to sleep, she murmured to herself,
"Perhaps I've made more of it than it is. Let's get back to reality."
Then she brushed her hair away from her face and slept on her right side without a care in the world.
As for Nadir, he was shocked. The girl he loved turned out to be a mere manipulator, perhaps even a master of deception in dating. Emotions meant nothing to her; it was all just a game, like playing cards. He pondered over it all night until it dawned on him that the leaks might not be genuine; someone might have tampered with them. He thought and thought until morning broke without him having slept a wink.
As soon as his computer connected to the internet, he sprang into action—hacking into Hana's account to confirm everything. Indeed, he gained access and read all the messages, confirming their authenticity. He felt a deep sense of disappointment. The girl he loved wasn't who he thought she was, and reality hit hard. Then he muttered to himself, "What about my feelings? What about all these things inside me now?"
He slammed his hand on his desk, tears on the brink of falling. Then he covered his face with his hands, letting his tears flow gently as dark emotions and anger filled his heart.
Both of them now grapple with different emotions in their hearts.
Nadir is consumed by anger from his love for her, while Hana's disappointment quickly fades, returning her to reality, unaware that she's slowly shutting her heart just as Nadir did, without a second thought.
Until they met again, anger still gripped Nadir's heart once more. As for Hana, she had only one memory of him in her mind: his beautiful eyes. So their meeting again felt like the first time.
"I was enchanted by your eyes once again. What about you?"
Could a past filled with misunderstandings between Hana and Nadir lead to a love story?"Let's take a look at our main characters and meet them in person."
