It was a research facility where they would make all sorts of horrible experiments on everything… Even on people…

No one heard of their latest experiment though. It was said that around seven years ago, before Neo Vantablack abandoned the Devil Killers’ Association, he defeated the Manipulation Devil and sealed her inside Akumaa Hospital for further experimentation with her powers. No one knew why he did that, but what was clear was that he had been requested to do so by a mysterious mastermind…

Well, not long after that, the head of the facility demanded a dangerous experiment they had never performed before: the transfer of the Devil’s Core into a child’s body… They had caught an abandoned child that was on the brink of death and none of their treatments was working on him. His parents had been casualties in Night Raid and lost their lives once the exploding gas bombs had been detonated. The poor child had been caught in the toxic fumes and his neon energy began to fade away slowly, draining every bit of life inside him… And just like that, they thought that turning him into a vessel for Sasakuna the Manipulation Devil would save him…

No one knew if it did, since Akumaa Hospital had been abandoned and all the residences around it… The area was restricted for any unauthorized civilian.

Well, until she arrived… In the darkest night with blood moon…

The gates that surrounded the facility were burnt to a crisp and the guards had been intoxicated with the most lethal poison… The military officers that were patrolling the area were murdered brutally and their corpses were left all over the place for passers-by to see the next morning…

Two people sneaked in the lab and began ravaging around. There were two women… One that had the appearance of a true Devil, with big, fiery wings and hair that looked like a river of burning lava… Her red eyes were glowing brightly in the darkness and so was her one horn on the right side of her forehead. The other one looked slightly more terrifying, for her eyes resembled the greatest nightmares, the evil and destruction… They looked like the night sky before the blood rains, like those of the Destroyer’s dragon from the legends…

They came to find something. Something they were told was hidden in Akumaa Hospital…

They searched up the first three levels of the building, but found nothing… They stood silent for some time, trying to think their next move, but suddenly, they heard footsteps. Someone was running on the halls from the floor above…

“Xanii! Go after whoever is there. I’ll keep looking for the information.” said the devilish looking woman.

Xanii, the woman with the Devil’s eyes, nodded and rushed upstairs, following the sound of the footsteps. The hall was dark, but there were no struggles for her. She found the person quickly. It was a child, he was trying to hide in the room at the end of the hall… That was the research lab, where they stored all the samples and experiment records…

Xanii slowly walked in and noticed the poor boy hiding under the table. She slowly approached him. She bent down to get a better look at him. He was soaked in green blood, he was trembling in fear… He had one red eye and one green and two horns of the same colors. His clothes were ripped and thin, he was shivering.

The woman held her hand out. “Hey. It’s okay.” she whispered. “I won’t hurt you.” Her voice sounded oddly calm and her tone was reassuring. Yet the boy only tried to creep away. He was probably scared of her eyes… Xanii sighed. “I am not going to eat you or hurt you. I am not someone who worked here before. You can trust me.”

She reached out to him further and suddenly felt his small, frail hand grab hers. She slowly dragged him out of the hideout and lifted him up. His skin was so cold…

She held him close and petted his back as she walked out of the room. She assured him that he will be safe with her. The little boy made himself comfortable in her arms and rested his head on her shoulder. He sighed in relief, but did not say a single word. Xanii reached the floor below, where she met up with her companion.

“So, any clues, Xankaria?” she asked.

Xankaria nodded, smirking mischievously, and showed her the holographic tablet. “All right here, like Xena said. Maybe that woman was not as useless as I thought.”

“Of course she isn’t! After all, she was the reason that bastard came straight to that Section during Night Raid!”

Xankaria scoffed. “I have a feeling that something is not right though. I think Xena just isn’t the person we are looking for…”

“Right now, obviously not!” said Xanii with sarcasm. “Oh, and I found this kid. I think he just woke up though…”

Xankaria quickly analyzed the child. She then laughed. Xanii was slightly confused now, not understanding what was so funny about it. Actually, there was nothing funny, just the child playing with Xanii’s hair. The devilish looking woman slightly amused, even though she didn’t understand herself why she just laughed like that.

She took the child from Xanii’s arms and handed her the tablet. “Here. Take a good look. All the files are stored there. Oh, and I cracked the passwords by the way, so you can just open them.”

“Wow, that was actually quick, you know?” said Xanii with amazement.

Xankaria chuckled. “I told you I can handle tech better than you know.”
