Honey, any art is a skill developed over time and effort. Nobody is amazingly good at it in the beginning; that's why you practice and improve bit by bit. If you want it, you can do it with effort.
I write for fun, and I can tell you that the difference between me now and me when I started is stark (and super cringe-inducing). I spend a lot of time sitting in front of a document going, "Does this convey the right emotion I'm trying to get across? Am I telling rather than showing? Is this in character for this character?" It's frustrating, embarrassing, and tedious sometimes, but if the end result is something I can enjoy reading through over and over again? That's worth it.
