(A short POV from chapter twelve)

After finishing her long shift, Nikki lets out a sigh as she changes back into her usual clothes. Pulling out her phone she texts Zach.

<Nikki-“ Do you want to hang out? Danni and Jacob are at rehearsals.”>

<Zach“ Sure”> 

(they meet at the mall)

Nikki- “ Hello.” 

Zach- “ Hey, what do you want to do first?”

Nikki- “ Food court?”

Zach- “ Sure.”

They get some burgers from one of the food vendors; after they eat and talk, they both go to some stores while getting some things when around 3:00 P.M. They take a breather.

Zack- “ You excited Danni got in?”

Nikki- “ Yeah, she’s my sister of course I’m excited, how about you with Jacob?”

Zach- “ Yep, my best friend.”

Time passes to late 5P.M and Nikki and Zach head home in the opposite way.

At Nikki’s and Danni’s place: 

As the clock hits 8:30 P.M Danni walks in seeing Nikki relaxing after a long day.

Nikki- “ Hey.”

Danni-” Hey…”

Nikki- “ Tired?” 

Danni- “ … Yeah..”

Nikki- “ Did rehearsals last long?”

Danni- “ Kinda, I hung out with Jacob the rest of the day.”

Nikki- “ What?”

Danni- “He’s not bad, why don’t you like him?”

Nikki- “ Why do you like him?”

Danni- “.......I’m going to bed..

Nikki- “ lol.”

Danni- “ Why lol?”

Nikki- “ No reason.”

The twins clean up and head to bed, for the next day.

At Jacob’s and Zach’s place:

Jacob walks in on Zach cooking.

Zach- “ Hey, what took you so long?”

Jacob- “ I did rehearsals and I hung out with Danni.”

Zach- “ Did you have fun?”

Jacob- “ Yea, I am tired though.”

Zach- “ Do you have rehearsals tomorrow?”

Jacob- “ Not sure, I’ll have to text Killian tomorrow or Danni might, Alex can’t type apparently.”

Zach- “Ok, do you want to go to bed?” 

Jacob- “ I don’t know.” 

Taking some of the food, Zach fixes Jacob a plate and hands it to him. Jacob gets out his phone and begins typing.

Zach- “ Eat something to see if you get tired.”

Jacob- “ Ok.” 

Zach- “ Whatcha doing?”

Jacob- “ YouTube and texting.”

Zach- “ Who?”

Jacob- “Danni.”

Zach smiles.

Jacob- “ Shush.”

At Killian’s and Alex’s Place:

Becoming annoyed as Killian is showing Alex how to use a phone for the tenth time in weeks. Even though Alex can snapshot pictures, he has a bit of difficulty sending emails… since he’s neglected ever using a phone for a long time.

Killian- “ Alex, that's not how you use an email..”

Alex- “ I’m trying , these things are difficult to understand.”

Killian- “ Not really, you’re just clueless on anything involving technology. Have Brandy teach you instead, he’s the techie.”

Hearing a buzz Killian looks down at his cell seeing Danni has messaged him.

<Danni-“ Do we have rehearsals tomorrow?”>

Killian- “ Hey, Danni wants to know if there are rehearsals tomorrow.”

Alex- “ Yes.”

<Killian-“ yeah.”> 

<Danni” Thank you.”>

Killian- “ Okay we can work on this tomorrow, I have work so ….I’m going to bed.”

Alex- “ Okay, so will I.”

Next Day at the Cafe: Rehearsals later.

Alex walks into the cafe dragging Killian along who’s in a bitter mood. Seeing the two men as usual at this time of day, around early eleven o’clock to be precise.

Danni- “ Hello, table or booth?”

Alex-” Table please.”

Danni- “ okay come this way, your server will be right with you.”

Zach and Jacob walk in, as Nikki seats them both next to the table where Killian and Alex are seated. Then Danni comes back to the table where Alex and Killian are..

Danni- “ Plot twist it’s me, how may I take your order?”

Alex-“ The usual, please.”

Danni- “ Okay be right back with the order.”

Jacob waves at Killian and Alex, Alex waves back as Killian ignores while leaning back into the chair, allowing his hair to cover his face. Danni goes to Jacob and Zach taking their orders as well and heads back to the kitchen window to give the paper to the cook. Coming back with Alex and Killian’s order, placing it onto the table.

Alex- “ Thank you.”

Killian- “ thanks...”

Danni- “ You’re welcome.” 

Nikki goes and brings Zach & Jacob’s order. Giving a cheerful expression towards Zach then, turns back to a glare at Jacob.

Zach-” Thank you.” 

Nikki- “ You’re welcome.” 

Jacob- “ Yes, thank you.”

Nikki- “ eh..” 

Danni- “ I will hit you again, be nice.” 

Zach smiles, as Danni holds up the serving tray at Nikki.

Jacob- “ Again?”

Danni- “ Long story, long story.”

Jacob- “ Oh ok, are you going to rehearsals tonight?”

Danni-``yeah definitely.” 

Jacob- “ Do you want to hang out after words?”

Danni-” Sure.”

Nikki- “ Nuhu.”

Danni- “ Shush my life, I'm an adult, I’ll go.”

Jacob- “ Do you want to see a movie?”

Danni- “ Sure.”

Seeing Danni’s poppy red eyes, Killian glances off as Alex smiles at him tapping the table lightly. Getting Killian’s attention he looks at Alex who smiles who mouths “Time will tell.” The day continues as they split ways to their jobs, some going to the theater. 

 At rehearsals

Going through the same scenes as before to memorize, Alex stands to the side watching the young actors rehearse. During this Jacob and Danni stand by waiting for their parts, as Killian leans against the wall taking out a lighter and cigarette but is quickly taken away by Alex.

Alex-“No smoking in my building.”

Killian-“.......fine.”

Turning his attention to the three of them, ignoring Killian’s annoyed look, Brandy runs around the place holding costumes, handing them out to the cast. 

Alex- “ Would you like to have a tea party with me and Killian when the weather is nice?” 

Jacob- “ Yeah okay that’ll be the first.”

Danni and Jacob look at Alex who glows with excitement, they two nod in agreement to join his little “tea party.” Hearing a loud thud, they four and others turn their attention to Brandy who drops some coat hangers, while looking for something.

Brandy- “ Where are the coasts I had?! I just had em… I’m a confused vegan, I need help!...”

Danni “ I’m coming.” 

Jacob continues rehearsal, while Danni helps Brandy. After a bit Brandy falls to his knees after realizing he forgot them at a friend's place while babysitting their pet.

Killian- “ so… why a tea party?”

Alex- “ So everyone can get to know each other better, I thought we talked about this?”

Killian- “ I guess.”

Alex smiles at Killian, knowing he can’t really argue with him. Killian stares across the room scanning around.

Danni- “ Have you tried green tea?”

Jacob- “ Once, but years ago.”

Standing close by Danni waves getting Alex’s attention, he looks over and pulls out a long list.

Danni- “ Alex, what kind of tea are we having?”

Alex- “ Let’s see. I have quite the options to choose from.”

Danni- “ Never mind, I get it.”

Killian- “ long list?”

Alex- “ I’m only choosing a few.”

After a small break they start rehearsing the scenes once again .While they do that Zach and Nikki go and hang out, again.

Nikki- “ Do you want to go eat something?”

Zach- “ Sure, what do you want?”

Nikki- “ Pizza?”

Zach- “ Ok, let's go.” 

They both go eat then a moment goes by as Danni texts Nikki. Sitting close enough, Nikki lets Zach read the messages as well.

<Danni-“ Hey up for a tea party?”>

<Nikki-” What?”> 

<Danni-“ Alex is having a tea party you’re going and so is Zach”> 

<Nikki-“ Okay.” >

<Danni-“  Oh and dress up bye.”>

Zach- “ Welp guess we’re going.”

Nikki- “ Yeah,  wanna go see a movie?”

Zach- “ It’s gonna be a horror movie.”

Nikki whines in disagreement.

Zach- “It’s gonna be fine, this one’s not that scary.”

Nikki- “ What is it?”

Zach- “ Pet Sematary.”

Nikki-” Nope.” 

Zach- “ It’s gonna be fine.” 

Pulling Nikki along who whines in protest. They head to the movie theater and go watch Pet Sematary. After the movie they leave the movie theater Nikki still clinging to Zach's arm.

Nikki- “ I don’t like that the cat died.”

Zach- “ I’m sorry.”

After a while they all text each other deciding where to meet up for a small dinner. While they sit at an outside table, Nikki leans over still whining over the movie, Killian gives a look at Zach.

Killian- “what’s with her?”

Zach-”  We went to see Pet Sematary.” 

Danni- “ Nikki you’re fine the cat doesn’t actually die, it’s a movie.”

Jacob- “ The cat has a better life than us.”

Nikki- “ I don’t care.”

Alex- “ Don’t fret my friend, it’s in a better place.”

Nikki- “ I know it didn’t actually die in the movie, but I’m still sad, but thank you anyways.”

Killian- “ Anyways Alex… when is this party?”

Danni- “Oh I forgot about that, do I have to wear a dress?”

In enthusiasm Alex claps his hands together, then shifts in his seat leaning forward resting his chin on his hands.

Alex- “ I’m happy you asked Danni, I thought we all could dress up nicely for the tea party.”

Nikki-``I thought you already told me to dress up?”

Danni-” I was doing that just to mess with you.”

Killian- “………” 

Jacob- Oh this is going to be fun.”

Zach- “ Do I have to wear a tie?”

Alex- “ Just wear something nice.”

Danni- “ Jeans and  t-shirts.” 

Alex- “ No. That’s not a nice outfit, would you see someone with the Queen wearing jeans and a shirt? No.“

Danni- “ Yes me!”

Alex- “ Wear a dress, something nice.”

Nikki- “ We both own a dress and heels, we’ll wear that.”

Jacob- “ Ha ha! you have to wear a dress.”

Danni- “ I will come after you, I know where you live.”

Jacob-” Really?”

Danni-” No.”

Killian- “..don’t got anything..”

Danni- “ Jeans and a hoodie.”

Alex- “ Don’t worry Killian, I already have some laid out for you.” 

Killian- “huh?....” 

Danni-” It’s your funeral.”

Jacob- “ Don’t say that.”

Zach- “ So what does everyone want to eat?”

Danni-``chicken wings spicy chicken wings.”

Jacob-” I’m down with that.”

They all eat while they chat, and after everyone goes home.
