Somewhere in the far reaches of space, lived a collection of Stars. From the perspective of the primary solar system in the BH dimension, it looked like one singular star.
While these Stars did not connect by any physical means and in fact the distance from one another could be considered quite significant. They linked together by another more celestial way as a solitary unit. Before this point, those celestial bodies existed as a celestial being cast out to this dimension a long time ago.
To the humans of Earth, this collection of Stars called Orionis Zeta was one of the stars making up the constellation Orion. The Stars maintained the ability to sense the flow of dimensional strata far beyond their universe. A rift was forming between dimensions.
Without intervention their world would be forced out of its place in the Vacuous dimensional strata collapsing in on itself into nothingness.
The Stars were aware something must be done to prevent this. With some of the remaining celestial powers they pushed part of their fallen soul to the Earth. They gave the soul Ab the power of foresight coming from the flow of the dimensions.
With this ability and with the help of another celestial being referred to as 'S', the person created a timeline. He wrote it down into a book, one in which would allow them to stop the dimension from collapsing in its entirety. Which would at least allow the souls of the beings living there to escape the collapse. They were to achieve this by burrowing into a different nearby Strata called Rintz.
Using the last of its power, they reincarnated once more to move the plan through to completion. With the Stars of Orionis Zeta as its light source, he became a shadow on Earth.
Shadows were one of the several species not well-known to humans during the time he grew up in. Like many of the shadows on Earth and it's three moons, Orionis B was born through the light of the Stars.
Orionis B was a second-generation Shadow 'born of humans’ designation Orionis Zeta; was the eldest twin to the human, designation Orionis Epsilon. The two would later use the names Orion and Freyaa Zeta.
While they were identical, as shadows and the beings they are cast from tended to be, they drifted apart a fair amount. Which is common in identical twins to an extent, perhaps more so for shadows. Freyaa grew up to be a woman and Orion grew up to be a man (for the most part).
Unlike non-human shadows his age, Orion's identity as a shadow was but a footnote in his early life. The Lucidians caring for Orion and Freyaa were adept at dealing with shadows, he stabilized quite fast as a baby.
He ended up with little to no actual ability to manipulate shadows at the time.
His limited ability was due to it requiring a degree of focus he couldn't quite achieve. Outside his control, however, when his life was in immediate danger of dying, the shadows came out to protect him.
Aside from those circumstances, he might as well have never been a shadow since they raised him as a human regardless. His abilities remained underdeveloped for most of his life.
Orion once again met the celestial being referred to as 'S' during childhood.
While not intended, for a short moment he still held onto some memories of his past life. Enough residual memories to remember S and to know he had a job to do. He also retained some of his ability to see the future, but it was limited.
He was not supposed to have this power, which had the capacity to become a detriment. The book was supposed to be the key to paving the way to a future in which the people of this dimension would survive. It was the path with the least opportunity of screwing up.
As long as Orion kept to it, he would be able to tunnel into the Rintz sector and return the flow of the dimensions.
S decided his foresight would have the potential to cause issues as it was not in the plans. What remnants Orion had of his past life and his foresight gave far too much room for error. They couldn't afford to lose this chance under any circumstances.
S sealed away Orion's foresight and returned him to a normal shadow child as he was meant to be from the beginning. The encounter got glossed over as a child's imagination. Given Orion's childhood was not ideal, it ended up being yet another forgotten memory.
