Jordan!

A fan reached out to me about the similarities between Amanda from Monster Born (released in 2023) and Jordan, one of my characters from some of my various series. Both characters appear in a monster-centric world and share a blind eye, scarred face and similar hair-cut, build etc as well as other features. Monster Born was released in 2023. Jordan has been around since 2013 or 2012.
While my work isn't mainstream, I have received a number of grants, awards and honours over the years so I'm not exactly unknown. Jordan has existed in my comics in various forms for over 11 years (I have additional records, emails, comics, artwork and fan art by fans documenting this.) I intend to keep using her. I've reached out to the publisher of Monster Born so we can discuss things in a pleasant, civil manner and mitigate any potential impact of both of our IPs. Currently I am still awaiting a response.
