Titan wants to play with his food, but Wix won't give him the satisfaction...
Another last minute change to this one and the next page. I reshuffled the panels around to make it work better (I think). I also always wanted to draw a comic panel with a 'snikt!' sound effect :).

edited: Titan is a large, powerful cat with razor sharp claws and a fiery tortoiseshell coat (a rarity for a male). Born a sickly stray and left to die by the other cats in the neighborhood, he underwent a great growth spurt that made him a massive beast, and he took his vengeance on many of the other strays that had spurned him. He’s now covered in scars from battles with other cats for territory and supremacy, and is the unquestioned leader of the cats and rules them with brutality and violence. Thoroughly nasty to his prey, he enjoys cruelly toying with his victims before finally killing them.
Unfortunately for the mice, Titan is also a great hunter, and any mouse caught out in the open is easy prey for the big cat. Wix is the only mouse to ever escape his clutches and outrun him, but only after losing part of an ear to a last swipe of Titan’s claws. Titan has never forgotten, and constantly searches for the red mouse hoping to make up for his one failed hunt.

"Titan is the unquestioned leader of the cats." I...I know I shouldn't, but the genetics nerd in me just can't help it. I first must say that Titan isn't actually a calico but a tortoiseshell. Calico cats always have white while torties have none. It doesn't matter though, as both the calico and tortie coat patterns are X-linked traits, meaning two X chromosomes must be present for it to be expressed. More specifically, it is not possible for a cat to have both orange fur and fur of another color at the same time without two X chromosomes for complicated reasons you probably don't care about. (Though on the off-chance someone does care, I'd be happy to elaborate.) Thus, nearly all calico/tortie cats are female. Male calicos/torties are extremely rare, and only occur due to a genetic defect called Klinefelter's Syndrome, which causes them to have an extra X chromosome. XXY males are almost always sterile and of poor physical health. So about the whole "unquestioned leader" thing...
