Eventually the days went on and the students prepared themselves for the coming test. So the day came. William had ordered the class to assemble by the schools main gate, whilst he and another cuple of his students where there William got a message from Daniel.
Forgot to mention, you will need one of the schools guard to accompany you. Its simply school policy and I assure you that they wont get in the way of you teachings. I have sent them over to meet you by the main gate.
Reading this, William let out a sigh.
"As long as they aren't to overprotective and interrupt, this should be no problem." William muttered to himself as he took out a cigarette from his small fake cherry gum container.
William put the cigarette in his mouth and muttered the words.
"Fuego"
As he did, he snapped his fingers, creating a small spark which lit his cigarette.
He took a big breath in before blowing out a big cloud of smoke.
"Still tastes like shit." William said, as he continued to smoke.
More students started to appear as William finished his cigarette. As William stomped out his cigarette, the whole class had arrived.
"Well, looks like everyone is here... or almost everyone." William said remembering Daniel's message.
"Is there more coming? is this the whole class?" Ophelia asked.
"Indeed, this is all 30 of you, which makes me happy. I'm glad all of you have decided to take the test, and I do hope all of you pass. But yes, we are waiting for one more. Daniel has issued one of the school's guards. Something about the school policies." William explained, with a soft smile.
"So do we get any information on the location beforehand or are we just supposed to free ball it? Jimmy asked.
"Well, I can tell you-" William spoke before being interrupted.
"KRÜGER!" a female voice cries out.
Mere moments before a figure dashes towards William and strikes at him with a sword-like object. William managed to dodge out of the way by ducking down and moving away from the wall.
The figure who had attacked William was a tall woman with brown long hair that danced in the wind as she swung what looked like a wooden katana. She wore a black combat suit.
On the wall where William stood, but a moment ago, there was now a big perfectly clean cut that looked like it was made by a giant sword. Somehow, this woman had made this cut with a sword only made out of wood.
"Krüger! I will cut your fucking head off!" the lady screamed, with a deep rage.
William stood still for a moment as he realized who was facing him.
"Sara?" William let out confused.
Sara looked at him, her green eyes filled with a burning rage that only those who know hardship can make.
"What the hell are you doing here William Krüger!?" Sara screamed.
"I'm a teacher." William responded.
"Bullshit!" Sara retorted.
Without letting William continue, Sara dashed towards him again, swinging her wooden sword with almost perfect movements. At the same time, William did everything he could to dodge the sword. Like he knew that despite that it was simply a weapons made of wood, it was a danger in the hands of Sara Dagnan.
"What's going on? Who is that lady?" Hector asked.
"T-That's Sara Daganan. She works as one of the school's guards and like a sort of private soldier from the school to keep the island safe. But why is she fighting William?" Amellia responded.
"She called him by a last name. Maybe she is someone from his past?" Nadia said.
Whatever relation these two had, it was clear that Sara was going for the kill with every hit swing with her sword.
"But why is he only dodging? its just a wooden sword, why not block or pary it?" Jimmy said.
"Because it's a wooden sword in the hands of Sara Dagnan," another voice spoke.
From the crowd behind the group, Nicholas Carrillo emerged. Nicholas walked up to the group, seemingly wanting a better watch over the fight.
"What do you mean?" Hector asked.
"It's because of her ability." Nicholas continued.
As Nicholas opened his mouth to continue, Ophelia interrupted.
"Her ability Sárchumhacht, is a constant aka a constantly activated ability. Her ability makes it so whatever she classifies as a weapon will become 10 to 50 times stronger in her hand. And it will only grow stronger the closer to the real material it gets." Ophelia explained.
"So what in actuality is just a wooden sword becomes more like one of the sharpest pieces of steal ever made, in the hands of Sara." Ophelia said.
Nicholas looked at Ophelia with an insulted look as he didn't like to be interrupted.
"So William is in danger?" Hector said.
"I mean she did say she was going to cut off his neck so..." Nicholas said, casually.
"Then we need to help." Hector retorted beginning to march ahead.
However, he only managed to make it two steps away before Nicholas stopped him.
"Professor William is strong, and he has been able to perfectly dodge every single attack she throws at him. I think we should just let them sort it out." Nicholas said.
William continued to dodge each of the rapid slashes of Sara's sword, and the moment he saw an opening, he countered. He twisted his body to his right, letting her sword slash right next to him. Whilst he did, he also charged his fist back, starting to gain a faint golden glow as he charged it with Yade.
When the moment was right, William let his fist go and counter punched Sara right in her face, causing her to fly back. Her body flipping in the air, but she still landed perfectly on the ground.
Directly after Sara landed she dashed towards William, in turn William took a kyukoshin karate stance, a kiba dachi stance. Whilst Sara closed in, William uttered a combination of spells as his hands yet again started to glow a faint golden color.
"Jäger und Sacer gladius naturalis iudicii" William mutters, and his hands seems to glow brighter and the golden glow seems to form a giant spike stretching out from his hands.
Using his Jäger spell William locates any earlier injuries that could still prove to be damaging for Sara.
With his spells, he locates two spots on her body. Two almost fully healed stab wounds located on her stomach and on her shoulder. There is also a bruise, seemingly from a powerful kick located directly above her heart.
William then steps in minimizing the distance and letting him get the upper hand in the confrontation in a way so he isn't forced back into a corner by Sara's unending slashes.
As William steps closer, he preps his hand and punches Sara directly on her stab wound on her shoulder. With the earlier spell, the punch seems to have made more damage than a normal punch would have. Adding on the fact that he hit a wound and on her shoulder, throwing her of her balance, made Sara lose her focus for a second. Focusing on staying in her feet.
During that second, William positioned himself in front of Sara and then started punching, focusing his punches on her known wounds. Continuing in a way so that Sara couldn't get the chance to counter. Keeping the two spells he previously used to keep the upper hand.
With each blow from William Saras body reacts more like she had been stabbed then punched. Causing her to gasp for air like if she had been stabbed, but her body showing no sign of such an attack.
William kept on punching, his punches only gaining more speed and efficacy instead of slowing down. However, Sara was not ready to give up. So she dashed backwards, gaining some distance before casting a spell.
"神の斬撃 (Kami no zangeki)" Sara muttered.
Hearing this, William panicked.
"Are you mad?!" William shouted.
"Die Krüger!" Sara screamed.
"I won't let you destroy anymore lives. I won't let you destroy all that this school has built!" Sara screamed, her sword now glowing a bright white.
Sara's sword emitted a powerful destructive aura.
"忘れ去られた世界の罪人たちを倒すために剣に祈る (Wasuresara reta sekai no tsumibito-tachi o taosu tame ni ken ni inoru)" Sara spoke, her voice booming with power.
A faint white circle surrounded William and Sara after she spoke her words. William immediately understood it worked as a barrier to separate him and Sara from the onlooking students.
Then Sara slashed with her sword, and a bright light surrounded everything as her attack rushed towards William.
Within seconds before the attack hit William, he had successfully calculated the area around him and Sara. So with a smirk on his lips, William said.
"Room."
As the spell was about to hit William it quickly dissipated as Williams Counterspell took affect. William and Sara now stood in the middle of a yellow cube, perfectly ending right outside of Sara's barier.
"Did you forget of my tricks already, Sara?" William taunted.
"You really think you can win against me in a one on one fist fight?" Sara asked.
"No." William responded.
With a snap of Williams fingers, the cube vanished. As Sara's magic returned to her, she prepared herself to strike once more, but William was already out of her field of vision.
Then Sara felt someone grab hold of her from behind. It was William who had teleported behind her using לְהַבהֵב. William took his arm around her neck in a choke hold. Whilst using his other hand to restrain her sword arm.
As Sara tried to struggle her way out of his hold, William whispered something in her ear.
"Erhörte..."
Sara froze, as she realized he was on the verge of activating his personal ability.
"There we go. Finally, can we talk like adults now?" William said, trying to catch his breath.
"i dont know what you or the others are planing but I wont let you´destroy anymore lives." Sara hissed.
William sighed before speaking in a more serious tone.
"If I wanted this place gone, both you and I know that I would have turned this school to dust the second I stepped foot on the island."
"Besides, the others... they are compromised." William whispered.
Sara listened to his words and reluctantly agreed to his statement.
"Daniel hired me to teach, in exchange for that I can stay still for a while."
Sara then signaled that she had given up by lifting up her unrestrained hand in the air.
Seeing this, William let her go.
"It seems we have kind of a similar reason for our jobs then, huh." Sara muttered.
"Wait, you also work here?" William said confused.
"Yes, I'm part of this school's guard force, and I do work as a substitute teacher if needed." Sara reluctantly said.
The air got awkwardly silent after this. Not one soul felt it was the right time to speak. This silence was, however, quickly disrupted by the noise of a woman shouting out.
"Sara! Don't run of like that!" Jenny the school nurse shouted as she came running out of the main gate.
"What's the matter with you? You mentioned you got a guarding job, and then you just ran away screaming!" Jenny continued to shout.
"S-sorry..." Sara said a bit flustered.
Seeing this, Ophelia and the others couldn't hold it in anymore. They had to know how these two knew each other and why one of them was seemingly out for the other's head.
"Okay, that's it!" Ophelia exclaimed.
"What is going on?! Why where you fighting? How do the two of you know each other!?" Ophellia shouted.
The rest of the class gave William a look of confusion, also wanting to know what had just transpired.
With a sigh, William gave them what they wanted.
"She is my ex." William told them.
The look on the students' faces was that of even more confusion and now even of surprise of this new information.
"Wait, that's your ex!?" Jenny asked Sara Suprised.
"Yeah." Sara responded.
William looked towards the two and noticed something on their hands. On Sara and Jenny's hands, two similar rings, placed on a respected ring finger.
"Congratulations. Tied the knot or just engaged?" William asked.
Hearing this, Jenny got a bit flustered.
"Engaged." Sara responded.
"On other regards, am I right to assume that you are our guard for this test?" William asked.
Sara nodded.
"Perfect..." William sighed.
As the tension between the two seemed to die down, Hector walked up to William and asked.
"Not to get too personal, but why did she want to kill you?"
"Because I deserve it." William responds matter-of-factly.
"What do you mean?" Hector questioned.
William took up a cigarette and lit it before answering.
"I'm not a good man Hector. If it wasn't because I still have stuff to do out in the world then I would have let her cut my head off." William explained, before walking off.
"Class 45! Time to walk, we will head to the docks, and then the test shall begin!" William commanded."
"I hope to see you all succeed."
