Joe explained, "Well, from Undvik City onward, the road gets trickier. Having up-to-date information can be a lifesaver."
Yory inquired, "But aren't the guilds generally safe? Why carry your dagger?"
Joe responded with a wry smile, teasing Yory, "I always like to be prepared. Remember, even with guards and rules, there will always be problems, especially in places with many people trained to fight, from various races."
Yory nodded in understanding as they arrived at the guild. Inside, he observed a diverse crowd, from dwarves enjoying drinks to humans engaged in lively conversations. There were even elves perusing scrolls, and to Yory's surprise, two demons were savouring some roasted meat with herbs while another was loudly interacting with one of the guild receptionists. Yory commented, "Demons here? That's unusual."
Joe explained, "There's no rule against them travelling in this kingdom, so you'll occasionally encounter them in these guilds."
While Joe inquired about information at the reception, Yory noticed a tall elf with brown hair and striking features. The elf wore expensive adventurer's armour and carried a long, magically inscribed sword. Approaching Yory, the elf said, "I haven't seen you since that party we threw 50 years ago. What brings you to this place, Yoranios Gyovani?"
Yory smiled and replied, "I didn't realize I needed your permission to enter this guild."
The elf maintained his serious demeanour and said, "Just curiosity. It's only natural when I encounter someone of your stature in a place like this."
Yory retorted with a grin, "I could say the same about you, Maykiyoda, the eldest son of Mulosims, the Elven King."
