Hello! Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed at least some small part of the story! I created this for the Global Comic Awards over the course of about 25 days.
This is my first original comic, and also my first comic using Clip Studio Paint, the learning curve was rough but I'm glad I did it!
I took a train ride and took a bunch of pictures and used those as reference here to really try to capture the feeling of being on a train lol. The monochrome+accent color design was suggested by a friend, I'm really happy I took the suggestion! Also, the conversation between the two characters is very loosely inspired by a conversation I had a long time ago with a family friend. Having someone believe in you wholeheartedly is a powerful thing.

Congratulations! This is such a lovely story, I found myself adoring the older woman and rooting for the interviewee. The old woman’s expressions I adored especially… she jumps right off the page, I wish I could meet someone like her!! Thank you for sharing your work!
