Here's what happened... so I had this whole comic planned to end on a cliff hanger when it hit me: First of all, I would add and lose no panels if I do more than have them take their Clock-Hand Swords from the pocket watch- and also use that space to be a bit more magical right~?
But most importantly: If I SHOW swords- they must USE swords!
And so while it's short, I added a pinch of ACTION to this last page- not just for ya'll, but for me too!
All things considered, for my first action scene- I think it went better than I expected!
I hope ya'll like the new and improved happy ending ; D
Thank you for reading!
P.S. If you want to see some of the materials from the planning and sketching/scripting stages of this comic, I can add a separate section after the contest is over. That is, if I see there's interest for it!
My alternate name "Wax" is hidden in the lineart of 3 of the episodes of this comic.
In the last panel, Teague's hair was inspired by Simba's from that one scene in the Lion King where he pulls Nala into the water.
Delora's Husband/Dawn's father is named Orson.
Teague and Ambrose' costume change retains some of their signature design features- but they also swap or copy each other on others. Teague loses the cape but gets rolled sleeves- while Ambrose gets a square-cut cape - though it hangs on just one shoulder. They don't quite get along well yet, but their uniforms show they make a great team when they work together.
The original story ended on a cliffhanger with Delora being big and monstrous, and the two boys about to fight her- but this felt too unfinished and people seemed to want to see a better outcome for Delora. Honestly, I am happy I saw that comment cause I am happy with this new turnout.
The sparkle between their hands during the transformation panel is based on the sparkle from Sailor Moons Tiara gem when she transforms.
When your time comes to an end, and your next destination is just a Train Ride away, you get to choose: get on, or stay. If you don't get aboard, however... what happens to the ghost that gets left behind?
