Aquatina's face twisted in shock and fear as she shouted, "You're the one responsible for turning my people and my city, aren't you?" Hisicla chuckled with a hiss, replying, "Yes, I am. But you are powerless to stop me." Asukem's eyes glowed with a fiery red in anger as he lunged at Hisicla, teleporting through the shadows to appear right in front of him, snarling, "I beg to differ!" Asukem's demonic claw swiped at Hisicla, knocking him back into the ocean waters, struggling to regain his balance on the sandy shore. Hisicla's expression shifted to one of surprise, while Asukem maintained a fierce glare, relishing the reaction he provoked. Without hesitation, Asukem pressed on with his attack, charging at Hisicla once more.
Hisicla glared at Asukem and hurled a lethal sphere of poisonous saliva at him. Asukem anticipated the venomous orb's approach, only to vanish into the darkness, causing the venom to miss. Emerging from behind, Asukem swiftly drew his katana and struck Hisicla in the back. Hisicla hissed in agony but attempted to strike Asukem with his tail, which Asukem caught. With all of his demonic strength, Asukem spun Hisicla around, roaring in rage, and threw him away from the town without causing any damage.
Asukem lunged forward, seizing the opportunity to attack without giving Hisicla a chance to recover or strategize. Asukem approached Hisicla, who was rising to his feet and hissing in fury. Asukem passed by him, and a dark aura enveloped his katana, leaving a streak as if the void itself surrounded the blade. Hisicla's side was slashed, causing blood to pour out. Despite Hisicla's agonized roar, he attempted to spit venom at Asukem. Asukem vanished into the shadows, evading the attack once more, and reappeared behind Hisicla. Asukem attempted to use his Ah'keim's Claw, but the rain dispersed the electricity, rendering it ineffective against Hisicla.
Hisicla acted without hesitation, swiftly seizing the opportunity. He turned, grabbing Asukem by the neck with a strong grip, and as he tightened his hold, he hissed angrily, "Dracon was right about you being annoying as hell!" Asukem chuckled, "Yeah, but guess where he is at?" Pointing down, Hisicla glared at him, tightening his grip and saying, "Don't act so tough, you're not in the situation you..." Hisicla's words were cut off as the air grew colder, the rain encircling and soaking him before freezing into a layer of ice in a matter of seconds.
Aquatina advanced, holding her trident high and her shield on her other arm. The wind swirled around her weapon, emphasizing her determination and courage. As she approached, she declared, "You underestimate me! You believe I am weak and unworthy of being a princess! You are mistaken! Not only can I heal my allies, Snake, but I can also easily defeat your army!" Hisicla's body started to freeze, causing his grip to weaken, allowing Asukem to break free. With a final futile threat, Hisicla hissed, "This isn't the end, Asukem!" Smirking, Asukem responded, "Actually, it is." Asukem observed as Hisicla transformed into an ice statue, completely encased in ice.
Asukem observed Aquatina's diminishing power and expressed his gratitude for her help with a nod. He then turned his attention to the snake men, who were retreating to the sea after witnessing their leader's defeat. When he looked back at Aquatina, he noticed her expression of disappointment and regret as she apologized for involving them in her city's politics and noble problems. Asukem reassured her, mentioning that Hisicla was the last commander of Evealeana's army and that he involved himself in the situation. Walking towards Aquatina, he placed his hand on her shoulder, lifted her head, and asked if she needed help with a sincere expression in his eyes, eager to assist her in any way possible.
Aquatina gazes up in astonishment as Asukem offers to help, and she asks, "But why? Why would you help me?" Gimp flutters over and perches on Asukem's shoulder, chuckling, and replies, "Because, master is a big softie!" Asukem shoots a stern look at Gimp for calling him master, silently telling him to stop. However, Gimp persists, saying, "Besides, when master decides to befriend someone, nothing can sway his decision." Asukem narrows his eyes at Gimp, realizing he has called him master once again.
Aquatina glanced at Leo, Gimp, Grant, Kittienia, and Kittienia's panther Kwitwaka, inquiring, "Are all of you his companions?" Each of them responded in their unique ways, proudly affirming their friendship and lack of regrets. Her giggle escalated into a hearty laugh, indicating it had been a while since she last laughed. Asukem extended his hand with a warm, friendly smile, repeating, "Do you require our assistance, my friend?" She grasped his hand, her laughter transitioning into tears, her legs giving way as she collapsed to the ground, sitting there, sniffling with a trembling voice as she pleaded in panic, worry, and fear for her people, "Yes, yes, I do! Asukem, please help me, I'm lost!" Her tears continued to flow as she poured her heart out. Everyone was taken aback by the depth of her pain, but Asukem, Asukem was furious at the sight of his friend in tears.
Asukem's gaze was filled with anger as he faced his friends. It was evident that they needed to focus. "Let's go, everyone! Those responsible for making Aquatina cry will pay," he snarled. Tightening his fists to control his rage for the upcoming fight, Asukem insisted, "Inform us about the situation. I want to understand what we're up against." Aquatina nodded, composed herself, and with a trembling voice said, "I will." After taking a deep breath, she began narrating her tale.
Asukem, an 18-year-old orphan from Rikros, is transformed into a sinkin by an evil demon who wields power to torment souls with her lust. Ah'keim, a powerful being with a mysterious ulterior motive, mentors him as he struggles to regain his humanity and undo the damage caused by the female demon. With the help of new friends who try to help him escape his fate as a sinkin, Asukem sets out to fight the void and gain control over his powers, all while seeking redemption for his past sins.
