heads. And neither of us could truly smile. It hurt to look at their pictures or to listen to the

videos me and my brother used to film. Mom stayed strong. She never cried in front of me but I

heard the tears she wept at night. The sadness we had never truly faded but another emotion

dwelled with it and it was anger. The reason they were gone was because of the war, something

that was so avoidable wasn't avoided. They will never mourn my dad and brother like we do.

They probably won't even remember their name yet they were forced to fight for them. People

like us mean nothing to them how desperately I wished to join their side how desperately I

wished I could hug them but I can't because if I don't live mom will be all alone and have to carry

the weight of remembering our names.
