“Knowing yourself is the beginning of all wisdom.”
~Aristotle
This was showing on the mobile screen of Henry, he turned it off and looked up. People were chatting, clouds were floating and tree leaves were rustling, a calm atmosphere just as any other college with a garden would have, though the students would define it as the opposite of calm environment.
Henry Tremblay, a 20 year old student currently doing his major in Virtual studies won’t say anything negative about college for he was a kind soul, thankful enough to enter college, through the help of his friends and family. His appearance was of an average guy with a height of 173 cm but he gets more attractive the more you pay attention; he had sparkling round eyes, with a clear skin and brown hair. He wore a casual mix of white shirt and dark jeans, showing his minimalist nature and no interest clothes. He grew up with his single and hardworking mother who always worried about him. She never exposed him to hardships of life and tried her best to raise him lovingly, the least he could do was repay her, or so he thought he would one day.
A figure was approaching from afar; Henry saw a glimpse and suddenly guessed who it was for it was his best friend since high school Liam.
Liam Smith unlike Henry had a tall and muscular physique of 191 cm. His face was attractive with symmetrical features, blue eyes and blonde hair, like a typical main character of the most of romance novel. He was a charismatic and energetic person, with always willing to help anyone.
Liam hugged Henry as if they don’t meet every day. Henry showed a slight blush on his face not enough for Liam to notice but enough for others to take a guess. Henry was bisexual and Liam was gay they both knew about each other’s sexual orientation but Liam never thought about the possibility of them dating, however, for Henry this thought always lurked in his mind.
“Why are you here? Don’t you have a class?” Henry asked.
“Oh you know I’m the Mr. Perfect of the theatre department I deserve to have “funsies” with my best mate.” Liam said with a smirk and flirtatious tone.
This brought hope in Henry’s heart but he knew Liam did not meant it that way, he never does. Liam put his arm around Henry’s shoulder and said;
“Come on let’s go to a café and eat pastries. I know you like sweet food.”
“Let go! You’re wasting your time ….you should be in class…not lurking around the campus for funsies, Liam.” Henry said it with a concerned tone.
“Oh come on it’s not like a little break is gonna kill us besides they help you take off your mind from books and boring stuff.”
“And you’re supposed to be teacher’s favorite…I don’t get it … you hate studying but you’re always on top... how?”
“Well it’s simple I study because I have to … not because I like it.”
“Stop fooling around!” A women’s voice spoke from behind. Liam and Henry were startled.
