Aurora and Ygriv joined the other students in the Grand Hall, feeling excited and curious about the upcoming event. The Annual Aelhollow Treasure Hunt was one of the most anticipated events of the year, and everyone was eager to participate.
Headmistress Friedham stood at the front of the room, her eyes sparkling with excitement.
"Welcome, students," she said, her voice ringing out across the hall. "I am pleased to announce that we will be having the Annual Aelhollow Treasure Hunt starting today."
The students cheered and clapped, feeling excited and eager to get started.
"As you know, the Treasure Hunt is a tradition here at Aelhollow Academy," Headmistress Friedham continued. "It is a test of your skills, your knowledge, and your ability to work together as a team. The first team to find the treasure will be awarded a prize, and the honor of being the winners of this year's Treasure Hunt."
The students listened attentively, feeling a sense of excitement and anticipation building.
"Now, let me introduce your team captains," Headmistress Friedham said, gesturing to the side of the room.
Aurora and Ygriv looked over, and saw a group of students standing there, each one holding a banner with their team name on it.
"As you can see, there are four teams," Headmistress Friedham said. "Each team will be led by a captain, who will be responsible for guiding their team through the challenges and obstacles of the Treasure Hunt. The captains are chosen based on their skills, their leadership abilities, and their knowledge of majka."
The students cheered and clapped as the captains stepped forward, each one looking confident and determined.
"Your team captains are as follows," Headmistress Friedham said, her voice ringing out across the hall. "For Team Aubernin, we have Kirika Nostra. For Team Pufflestone, we have Jaxen Ades. For Team Wingedstallion, we have Dolores Bistimma. And for Team Scaleshine, we have Khalil Purna."
Aurora had been looking forward to the Annual Aelhollow Treasure Hunt for weeks, excited to test her skills and knowledge alongside her fellow students. However, her excitement quickly turned to disappointment when she found out that she had detention and wouldn't be able to participate.
As Headmistress Friedham announced the captains of each team, Aurora couldn't help but feel left out. She watched as Ygriv eagerly joined his team, feeling a pang of envy as he left to gather with them. She tried to push her disappointment aside and focus on her classes, but her mind kept wandering to the Treasure Hunt and what she was missing out on.
As soon as Aurora's classes were over, she headed to the detention room. She knew that she had to serve her time, but she couldn't help feeling disappointed about missing the Treasure Hunt. As she walked into the room, she saw Tulipa and a few other students sitting down, looking equally bummed out.
"Hey," Tulipa said, looking up as Aurora walked in. "You too, huh?"
Aurora nodded, feeling a sense of camaraderie with the other students. She sat down next to Tulipa, feeling grateful for the company.
"Yeah," she said, her voice quiet. "I wish I could be out there with everyone else."
The other students nodded, looking equally disappointed.
"I know," one of them said. "It's not fair that we have to miss out on all the fun."
They sat in silence for a few moments, listening as the sounds of the Treasure Hunt filtered in through the windows. They could hear the excited voices of the students, and the sound of their footsteps as they ran from one challenge to the next.
Aurora felt a pang of jealousy wash over her, and she couldn't help but wonder what it would be like to be out there with them.
"I wish we could do something," she said, her voice determined. "I don't want to just sit here and miss out on all the fun."
The other students looked at her with surprise, and then with determination.
"Yeah," one of them said. "We should do something."
Tulipa looked at them skeptically, but then she nodded.
"Okay," she said. “But what can we do?”
Aurora thought for a moment, feeling a sense of excitement building inside of her.
"I have an idea," she said. "What if we break out and try to find the treasure ourselves? It won't be as fancy as being a part of the real Treasure Hunt, but at least we'll be doing something."
Ghillin, a Magne student near them pointed at Mr. Faustus, the Professor watching over them, who was actually grading some exams.
“But how are we going to do it? Mr. Faustus is right there.” he said.
Aurora looked at the other students with a serious expression, feeling a sense of determination wash over her.
"I have an idea," she said. "But it's risky. We could use a mindmajka spell to create an illusion that we're still in the room, while we sneak out and try to find the treasure ourselves." She hesitated for a moment, feeling a sense of fear wash over her. "But it would mean using a very advanced spell, one that's forbidden. We could get into serious trouble if we're caught."
The other students looked at her with a mix of excitement and fear, unsure of what to do.
"But we're already in detention," one of them said. "What's the worst that could happen?"
Aurora thought for a moment, weighing the risks and rewards of the plan. She knew that it was dangerous, but she also knew that it was their only chance to be a part of the Treasure Hunt.
"Okay," she said, her voice determined. "Let's do it."
The other students looked at her with a mix of fear and excitement, unsure of what to do next.
"Alright," Tulipa said. "But we have to be careful. If we get caught, we could be expelled."
They quickly went over the plan, making sure that everyone knew what they were doing. Aurora would use the Finite spell to control the mind of Mr. Faustus, to make him believe that they were all sitting in Detention with him. Meanwhile, all of them would sneak out and try to find the treasure. This did mean that Aurora would have to stay and keep watch as the Finite spell had a range of action.
As they put their plan into action, Aurora felt fear washing over her. She had never used the Finite spell on purpose before, and she didn't know if she could control it. But she also knew that this was their only chance to be a part of the Treasure Hunt, and she had to try.
She closed her eyes, feeling a surge of energy as she started to cast the spell. She focused her mind, trying to control the minds of the other students. And then, she felt it. The power of the spell, coursing through her veins.
She opened her eyes, feeling a sense of clarity wash over her. She could see the minds of the other students, and she knew that she had control over them.
"Go," she whispered, her voice steady. "Be careful, and be quick."
The other students nodded, and then they slipped out of the room, making their way down the halls and towards the Treasure Hunt.
As they left, Aurora felt determined to sustain the spell for as long as she could.
Tulipa, Xian and Ghillin started running down the halls, keeping an eye out for any professors or faculty members. They knew that they had to be quick, as they couldn't get caught or they would be in massive trouble. As they turned a corner, Xian stopped them in place and used a simple cloaking spell around them to make them invisible. They held hands and Xian chanted "Nonessere" to activate the spell. An invisible cloak covered them, making their skin look almost see-through. They continued sneaking around the school, trying to avoid being seen.
As they made their way down another hallway, they stumbled upon the Cook, who was busy preparing a meal in the kitchen. They could smell the delicious aromas of the food, and their stomachs grumbled.
"Hey," Tulipa whispered, nudging Xian. "Do you think he knows where the treasure is?"
Xian shrugged, looking uncertain.
"I don't know," he said. "But we could ask him."
Ghillin nodded, feeling excited.
"Let's do it," he said. "Maybe he'll tell us something."
The three of them approached the Cook, trying to act casual. The Cook looked up, surprised to see them.
"What are you doing here?" he said, his voice gruff.
Tulipa smiled, trying to charm him.
"We're just looking for a snack," she said, her voice sweet. "Do you have anything to eat?"
The Cook eyed them suspiciously, but then he shrugged.
"Sure," he said. "Help yourself."
He gestured to a table in the corner of the kitchen, where there were some sandwiches and fruit laid out. The three of them walked over, trying to act casual. As they ate, they tried to think of a way to ask the Cook about the treasure.
Finally, Ghillin spoke up.
"Hey," he said, his voice hesitant. "We were just wondering...do you know anything about the treasure hunt? Like, where the treasure is?"
The Cook looked at them with a skeptical expression.
"Why do you want to know?" he said, his voice gruff.
Tulipa tried to charm him again, smiling sweetly.
"We're just curious," she said. "We heard that it's a really fun event, and we wanted to know more about it."
The Cook eyed them suspiciously, but then he shrugged.
"I don't know much about it," he said. "But I did hear something about it being in the gardens. Near the statue of the winged stallion, or was it the winged caprihorn? I don’t remember."
The three of them nodded, feeling excited.
"Thanks," Tulipa said, smiling. "That's really helpful."
They quickly finished their snacks and then slipped out of the kitchen, heading towards the gardens. As they walked, they could feel the excitement building inside of them. They were getting closer and closer to the treasure, and they knew that they were going to win.
