Si Xing, always eager to contribute, suddenly spotted a rabbit darting through the bushes. “Hey, look! Fresh meat!” he exclaimed, pointing at the rabbit.
“Careful, Si Xing,” Li Yun warned. “We don’t want to startle it and lose our chance.”
But Si Xing was already on the move, creeping closer to the rabbit. He lunged, but the rabbit darted away, leading him on a merry chase through the forest.
“Wait up, Si Xing!” Xie Zhili called out, hurrying after him. “Don’t go too far!”
Li Yun sighed as if he had passed ages. "This child doesn't listen to others!"
While Si Xing inched closer to the rabbit, his hands ready to pounce. Just as he was about to grab it, the rabbit bolted. In his haste, Si Xing lunged forward, only to crash into a tree and dislodge a massive honeycomb.
“Oh, shit,” Si Xing muttered as the honeycomb fell to the ground, shattering and releasing a swarm of angry bees.
“What did you do?” Xie Zhili exclaimed, his eyes widening in disbelief.
“Run!” Li Yun shouted, grabbing Si Xing by the arm and pulling him away. Lisa quickly followed, her eyes wide with fear.
The four of them sprinted through the forest, the angry swarm of bees hot on their heels. The buzzing grew louder, and the bees determined to defend their home.
“Wonderful Baby boy!” Lisa yelled, glancing back at the swarm. “Why did you have to chase the rabbit?”
“I didn’t mean to hit the honeycomb!” Si Xing protested, his face flushed with embarrassment and panic.
“Just keep running!” Li Yun commanded, his voice steady despite the chaos.
They dashed through the trees, dodging low branches and jumping over roots, their breaths coming in short gasps. The bees were relentless, and the buzzing was almost deafening.
After a while, they saw their friends who had already gathered and were waiting for them.
Li Yun gritted his teeth and shouted from the distance. "Run!!"
“What the hell happened?” Alex demanded, his silver hair catching the sunlight as he scanned the approaching group.
“We kicked a beehive!” Si Xing yelled back, fear evident in his voice.
“Are you kidding me?” Arial exclaimed, her blonde wavy hair bouncing as she stepped forward to help.
Seriously, yesterday was quicksand, and now a beehive?! Give her a rest, are they all idiots gathered around her?
“No time to explain!” Li Yun called out, eyes fixed ahead as they approached. “We need to lose these bees!”
Kim Woojin, always composed, stepped forward with a plan. “Everyone spread out and find cover. They’ll disperse if we break their pursuit.”
"Good idea, but no time!" Ayesha shouted, already swatting at bees around her.
"Just do it, a donkey is better than a quack doctor!" Alex shouted as he saw the bees.
Kim Woojin:...
Lin Xueyin almost vomited, Is this the quote? not at all!!
As the group scattered, the forest echoed with curses, shouts, and the persistent buzzing of angry bees. They darted behind trees, ducked into bushes, and scrambled over fallen logs, desperate to escape the relentless swarm.
“Why couldn’t we have encountered something less deadly?” Su Mingji muttered, his brown eyes wide with apprehension as he dodged a particularly aggressive bee.
“Because where’s the fun in that?” Alex shot back, his usual grin replaced by a grimace as he fought off bees.
Si Xing almost cried, "Seriously, that was not the intention at all!"
Suddenly, Li Yun spotted a shallow cave ahead, partially concealed by overhanging vines. “There!” he shouted, pointing to the cave entrance. “Everyone, inside!”
One by one, they dashed for the cave, diving inside and collapsing against the cool stone walls. The bees, unable to navigate the narrow opening, buzzed angrily outside before finally dispersing, their fury subsiding.
“Well, that was exciting,” Lisa remarked, brushing dirt and leaves from her hair.
“Exciting?” Si Xing echoed, his grey eyes wide. “I nearly got stung to death!”
“You’re fine,” Xie Zhili said with a smirk, though his relief was evident.
Kim Jae-In, who had remained calm throughout the chaos, stepped forward with a wry smile. “Next time, let’s try not to anger the local people."
“Note taken,” Si Xing muttered, sitting heavily on a rock and catching his breath.
As the adrenaline faded, laughter bubbled up among the group, the tension of the chase dissipating in shared relief.
"I don't want to do anything now."
"Seriously so tired, My legs are hurting," Alex said as he massaged his legs.
Si Xing was panting beside him, "Same, I am thirsty, My mouth is smoking."
“Well, that was an adventure,” Su Mingji remarked, wiping sweat from her brow. “I don’t think I’ve ever run so fast in my life.”
“It’s good cardio,” Kim Woojin deadpanned, earning a few chuckles from the group.
“We could use Li Yun’s astrology to predict where the tokens might be,” Lisa suggested, glancing over at Li Yun.
Li Yun smiled. "After using it a lot yesterday, I am feeling a bit drained..."
“Or we could just follow the rabbits,” Xie Zhili quipped, a mischievous glint in her eyes. “I mean, they seem to know where all the trouble spots are.”
“Except for the bees,” Si Xing muttered, rubbing his arm where a bee had left a red welt.
“We need to be more cautious,” Kim Jae-In interjected, his voice calm but firm. “Rushing into things won’t get us anywhere.”
“Agreed,” Ayesha said, her expression serious. “We need to work together, stay focused.”
“Focus? I’m focused on finding water,” Alex declared, leaning back against the cave wall. “Anyone else feeling thirsty?”
Si Xing rolled his eyes and pouted, did I speak flowers when I said I was thirsty?
“I could drink a river,” Su Mingji replied, her tone wistful.
“Maybe there’s a hidden spring in this cave,” Arial mused, her gaze scanning the shadows.
“Or we could use our innate talents to find water,” Kim Woojin suggested.
“Can’t summon water out of thin air, though,” Lisa pointed out, looking around as if expecting a hidden reservoir.
“True,” Li Yun said, folding his arms. “But maybe there’s a clue in the cave’s surroundings.”
“So, Li Yun,” Lisa said, breaking the quiet moment. “Any luck with those stars?”
Li Yun glanced up at the cave’s ceiling, where faint glimmers of light filtered through cracks in the rock. “Not yet,” he admitted. “But I’m working on it.”
“Well, keep working,” Alex said with a grin. “Because I’m unsure how long I can go without a drink.”
“We’ll find water,” Li Yun assured them, his voice steady. “And those tokens too.”
Li Yun stood at the mouth of the cave, his gaze fixed on the shifting patterns of light filtering through the dense canopy above. The others gathered around him, their expressions a mix of hope and exhaustion, waiting for his next move.
“Alright,” Li Yun began, his voice calm but a bit hoarse. “According to the stars, there should be a stream nearby, to the northwest.”
"Seriously?” Alex quipped, though there was a hint of curiosity in his tone.
Li Yun shot him a wry smile. “Hey, desperate times call for desperate measures.”
“Just lead the way,” Arial said with a small smile, her golden eyes reflecting trust.
With Li Yun in the lead, the group set off, weaving through the thick undergrowth of the forest. The air was thick with humidity, the ground damp beneath their feet. Li Yun’s steps were sure, guided by a deep-seated intuition honed through years of studying the natural world.
As they walked, Li Yun’s thoughts drifted to their predicament. Floor 3 had proven more challenging than they had anticipated.
Though most of it was because they still hadn't gotten used to all these troubles and life without internet and modern gadgets.
How are we going to survive the next floors if Floor 3 is already this difficult? Li Yun wondered, a flicker of concern crossing his features.
The thought lingered in his mind as they trudged onward, branches snapping underfoot and the occasional rustle of unseen creatures in the underbrush. The group remained silent, each lost in their own thoughts, their exhaustion palpable.
“There!” Xie Zhili’s voice broke the silence, pointing ahead where a faint shimmer of light filtered through the trees.
Li Yun quickened his pace, the others following suit as they emerged into a small clearing. Before them, a narrow stream gurgled gently over smooth stones, the water clear and inviting.
“We found it!” Su Mingji exclaimed, relief evident in his voice as he knelt by the stream and cupped his hands to drink.
“We’re saved,” Alex said with a grin, splashing water on his face.
Li Yun watched them with a sense of satisfaction, his worries momentarily eased.
As they rested and refueled, Li Yun’s mind raced with thoughts of their future trials. We need to stay vigilant, he reminded himself, and use our talents wisely.
“We should fill our canteens,” Kim Woojin suggested, already kneeling by the stream with a container.
"Hey, I found a token, There in under the stone in the river!"
On the fourth day, the found only 6 tokens and it became 25 tokens, still half to go and they had only 3 days and they had almost looked the most of the area.
"Only that mountain left." Li Yun pointed in a direction.
Everyone looked up and felt exhausted just looking...
