Li Yun nodded. "Let’s split up into pairs and search. We’ll cover more ground that way. Remember, stay safe and keep in contact."
The group paired off: Li Yun with Arial, Su Mingji with Xie Zhili, Kim Woojin with Kim Jae-In, Alex with Lisa, and Si Xing with Lin Xueyin, Ayesha with Sarah. They set off in different directions, each pair scanning the terrain for any sign of the final token.
After a couple of hours of searching, Su Mingji's team found it and when they came back in the location they determined, he told them.
"I found it! But there’s a problem. It’s on a cliff."
Li Yun's heart skipped a beat. "Let's be on our way."
When everyone gathered at the base of the cliff, they could see the token glinting in the sunlight, secured within a small crevice halfway up. Arial's eyes sparkled with excitement.
"I can climb it," she said, stepping forward.
Kim Jae-In frowned, "Arial, it’s too dangerous. If you fall..."
Ayesha nodded in agreement. "You could get seriously hurt. We need to find another way."
Li Yun looked at Arial, seeing the determination in her eyes. He placed a hand on her shoulder. "We need to believe in each other and our abilities. Arial, if you think you can do it, I trust you. But be careful."
Arial took a deep breath and nodded. "I can do this."
Since the girl himself had no problem, everyone decided to wait and see.
The group watched anxiously as Arial began to climb. She moved steadily, her muscles straining as she navigated the rocky surface. Halfway up, she slipped on a loose rock and fell, hitting the ground hard. Gasps filled the air as she lay there, clutching her ankle.
"Arial!" Ayesha and Lisa rushed to her side, helping her sit up. "Are you okay?"
Arial winced but nodded. "I’m fine. Just a bit bruised."
Kim Woojin shook his head. "You don’t have to do this alone."
Arial gritted her teeth. "I can still try. I need to." Since that's my only ability...
Li Yun knelt beside her, his deep blue eyes serious. "You’re strong, Arial. But this time, let’s do it together. Kim Jae-In, Kim Woojin, help her."
Arial looked at everyone, they had worried expressions, they cared for her...Seriously what a reckless
Kim Jae-In and Kim Woojin nodded, flanking Arial as they prepared for a second attempt. This time, with Kim Woojin providing steady support from below and Kim Jae-In guiding her, Arial climbed more confidently. They moved as a unit, each supporting the other’s weight and balancing their steps.
Ayesha sighed as she saw it. "She is still young at heart."
Smiling, Lisa said, "Atleast she young, unlike our old hearts."
The two chuckled.
Halfway up, Arial reached for the crevice, her fingers brushing the token. She looked down and saw Li Yun giving her an encouraging nod. With determination, she reached again and secured the token. As she pulled it free, a beautiful flower fell from the crevice, landing softly in her hand.
"We did it!" she shouted, her voice echoing across the cliffside.
The group cheered as Arial, Kim Jae-In, and Kim Woojin carefully made their way back down. When they reached the ground, Arial handed the token to Li Yun, her face beaming with pride despite the bruises.
Li Yun smiled, his voice filled with warmth. "You were amazing, Arial. All of you were."
Arial blushed slightly. "I couldn’t have done it without them."
Kim Woojin grinned. "Teamwork, right?"
Kim Jae-In nodded, his usual serious demeanor softening.
Li Yun nodded, his gaze sweeping over the group. "This was a tough challenge, but we made it through together. Let's head back to the base camp and prepare to complete this floor."
Back at the base camp, the group gathered around the fire, their spirits high despite the exhaustion and injuries. They had all made it through, and they had the last token in their possession.
Arial held the beautiful flower up, marveling at its delicate petals. "It’s incredible how something so beautiful can be hidden in such a dangerous place."
"Kind of like us," Su Mingji mused, his brown eyes twinkling. "We’re all a bit rough around the edges, but we’re capable of amazing things."
Xie Zhili smiled, his elegant and graceful figure relaxing against a tree. "I think we’ve all learned a lot about ourselves and each other."
Lin Xueyin nodded. "And we’ve still got a long way to go."
Later that night, as the group settled down to sleep, Li Yun found himself staring up at the stars.
Arial’s voice broke through his reverie. "Hey, Li Yun."
He turned to see her standing nearby, her golden eyes reflecting the firelight. "Yes, Arial?"
"I just wanted to say thank you," she said softly. "For believing in me."
Li Yun smiled. "You believed in yourself too."
She nodded, her expression thoughtful. "We’re going to make it through this, aren’t we?"
Li Yun’s smile widened. "Yes, we are. Together."
At exact midnight when the day was over, The system voice sounded again.
