Marian spent the majority of her weekend with Theo. Theo could not fully pull Marian out of her bad mood despite his best efforts. She was still very upset about Liam canceling their plans. She doesn't see him often anymore. It might be time for the two to fade away, officially. She has been doing this dance with Liam since college. It has to end sometime. Marian is not sure what she should do. Maybe it's time to finally talk to Kris about this? Kris gives great advice. The advice is brutal but honest. And her advice always tends to let Marian get to the bottom of her feelings. Marian gets up from her desk to find Kris.
Just after Marian leaves the office, Aurora walks in. She has been waiting to talk to Robin, but she doesn't want Marian to overhear them. She sees her chance as Marian opens the door and walks out. Aurora looks at Robin who has his headphones on and is working diligently on his latest work assignment. She loves how seriously Robin takes his job. She knows that he will move up at Blahco in no time. She walks over to Robin and leans over next to him. She starts waving her hands vigorously to get his attention. "Robin, Robin," she says all quietly. Robin looks up and notices that Aurora is currently leaning into him. He quickly takes off his headphones and drops them on his desk. "Hello, Aurora!" he says excitedly. He has been thinking about her all morning.
Aurora pulls over Marian's office chair and sits down facing Robin. She smiles at him and makes eye contact with him. Today she is wearing a white knit crop top with a white and pink floral suit coat and matching high-wasted work shorts. She looks amazing in white. It brings an airiness to her presence. She leans in to talk to Robin. She speaks quietly so that people won't overhear them. "Hey! How was the rest of your weekend?" Robin leans in too. Meeting her eyes, "It was good. I went out with Marian and Graham." Aurora asks, "Do you go out with them frequently? It seems like you have spent a lot of days with them." Robin responds, "I do with Graham. He's my best friend. But Marian is a new addition. We didn't used to be close, but she has started growing on me. Like a fungus, she keeps spreading into my life." Aurora chuckles at this and playfully hits Robin's hands with hers, "Oh my gosh Robin!" Robin continues, "I mean it in the nicest possible way." Aurora asks curiously, "She does have a boyfriend, right? If I remember correctly." Robin, "Yeah. Theo. He went out with us that night you came out with all our coworkers." Aurora relaxes after hearing this. She looks up trying to remember anything about Theo, "Oh yeah... They have been together a while."
Robin assumes that Aurora didn't come here to talk about Marian. He decides to change the subject. He leans in closer so that it's just the two of them and speaks even quieter, "Hey, do you want to know more about our date or do you want it to be a surprise?" Aurora locks eyes with him. This is what she came to talk about. She smiles, "At least give me a clue about what I should wear." Robin looks confused, "what you should wear?" Aurora explains further, "Yeah, different activities require different outfits. If we are going for a walk, I need good shoes. If we are eating, I need to look extra great since you are staring at me the whole time." Robin takes a second to look down at Aurora. He takes in her beauty. His cheeks start to flush. He cannot believe that he is going out again with her. He starts to stutter, "You already look great..." Now it's Aurora's turn to blush. She sits back a little. She cannot believe that Robin just gave her a compliment at work. She looks around to make sure that Marian isn't coming back yet.
Next, she gets excited and says, "I cannot wait for this weekend." Robin replies almost without thinking, "I can. I still have a lot to plan." Aurora puts her hand closer to his on his desk. She offers, "I can help you with planning if you want." Robin also moves his hand closer to Aurora's. He almost grabs her hand until he remembers that they are at work. Instead, he drops his hand close enough to brush Aurora's hand. He looks her in the eyes again, "No, I want to do this for you." Aurora teases him a little, "How gentlemanly of you." Robin playfully gives a bow. As he comes back up he says, "anything for my lady." Aurora blushes even deeper. She doesn't say anything, but she begins to dwell on the my in 'my lady' that Robin just used. She hopes that he truly feels that way and it's not just something he said without thinking. Finally, she sits back in the chair and says, "I seriously cannot wait. I will see you Saturday."
At this, she stands up and moves Marian's chair back to her desk. Marian walks in and sees the two of them together in the office. She starts to get a bit of a wicked smile. She knows what is going on. She had tried to find Kris only for Kris to be in a meeting with a new client. Marian felt like the universe was telling her that today was not the day. She was grumpy about the whole thing until she stumbled upon this scene in her office. Marian looks at Aurora and wonders how the hell anyone could be that put together every day. Her hair is never out of place, her clothes are perfect. She reminds Marian of her old college roommate, but the fact that Marian has to work next to Aurora makes it hard not for her to compare herself to Aurora. Marian knows she will never be blonde, tall, or sweet and innocent like Aurora. It made her jealous.
Aurora smiles at Marian. "Hi Marian, how was your weekend?" Marian answers, "Fine. How was yours?" After asking this, Marian smirks. Aurora starts to feel something is off. She starts to wonder if Robin told Marian about their date because it seems like she knows something. Aurora decides to get back to her office as quick as possible to avoid any further embarrassment. "I better get back to work. See you later Robin. Bye Marian." Marian quickly teases, "Yeah, he will see you this weekend." Aurora flinches at this. He definitely told Marian. She is super uncomfortable and walks out of the room quickly. Robin watches this all play out and waits until Aurora leaves. Once se is gone he grabs Marian by the shoulder. "Seriously Marian?!" He cannot believe that Marian just did something so awkward with Aurora. Just when he was thinking he was more comfortable with Marian, she pulls something like this. Marian acts clueless and sits down. Robin angrily puts his headphones back on. Marian also gets back to work and the two don't talk for the rest of the day.
