Chapter 5.
Dreaming of freedom.
Susan's eyesight was a little tired, it was evident that she had traveled a good stretch of lands unknown to her.
The old motorcycle that her father had bought to take her on night rides to the mountains and make a wish on the stars was the only thing she had left, because before leaving the house, Ricky had practically begged her to go to the house. The plot of land that belonged to Laurel was not a luxurious place by any means, but it was comfortable and far enough so that she could get away from the city and Garrett would never find her, which is why Rick had made her promise, that whatever she heard she would never return, that if someone looked for her in her mother's name she would turn a deaf ear, but above all, she would not let Garrett Manson catch her, because he would make her the most miserable and unhappy woman all her life, and the freedom that Ricky and Laurel were giving her, there would be nothing left, that all of that would become just a distant memory, the fantasy of a dream of what could have been, but did not materialize, which is why the girl took it very seriously and when she went up to his bedroom, she found that Laurel had already packed his most basic and practical clothes in a backpack, so that she could go live in the country, Laurel gave her the ownership papers for the place and their respective keys, just as his father gave her the keys to that motorcycle and on a piece of paper they wrote down the address to get to her new home; both told Susan not to worry, that this was the last time they were going to meet, and that's why , her father hugged her and let out a lot of tears because he knew what he was going to do; Laurel asked her to have a good life and experience love at some point, but above all, that she not bow her head to anyone, that she keep her shoulders straight and strong and look optimistically toward the future.
Susan wanted to talk, but the couple told her not to try, but to wait until she got better.
When they opened the door it was night and there was a strange and different breeze... her father came out a moment after her and hugged her for the last time; Laurel said goodbye from the door and Susan looked at the phone and the address on the paper, she put them in her pockets and started towards the facade where the motorcycle was kept, once she entered, she got on, started it and almost like in the old days, she didn't make a sound and started driving in the direction of his new property without knowing that someone else was really losing their minds to know, even if it was the shape of his face...
