As the aroma of the food filled the room, Alex and Si Xing eyed the dining area with a mix of anticipation and dread.
Lisa placed a pot of stew on the table with a proud smile. "Dinner is ready, everyone!" she announced.
Ayesha, standing beside her, nodded enthusiastically. "We did our best with what we had. Bon appétit!"
The group gathered around, sitting on the floor with bowls and spoons in hand. Alex was the first to dig in. He took a big spoonful of the stew, chewed thoughtfully, and then his face contorted into an exaggerated grimace. He dramatically pushed the bowl away.
"What is this? Poison?" Alex exclaimed, clutching his throat. "Lisa, I refuse to accept you as my sister after this! You're a culinary criminal!"
Lisa pouted, crossing her arms. "Oh, come on, Alex. It's not that bad."
Si Xing took a tentative sip of the stew. His eyes widened, and he mimicked Alex's reaction, falling backward and pretending to faint. "I see the light! Tell my parents I love them!"
The room erupted in laughter. Even the usually stoic Kim Woojin and Su Mingji couldn't help but chuckle.
"Seriously, though," Woojin said, recovering from his laughter. "I have serious concerns about our future. If this is what we have to look forward to, I might need to reconsider my choice of a marriage partner."
Su Mingji nodded, looking at Ayesha with mock seriousness. "I thought I was prepared for anything, but this… this is too much."
Ayesha rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. You two are just being dramatic."
Li Yun tried to offer some words of appreciation. He took a spoonful of the stew, his face immediately betraying his true feelings. He struggled to find the right words, his mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water.
"It's… um… it's definitely… unique?" Li Yun said, forcing a smile.
Kim Jae-In shrugged and said, "It's acceptable. We should let the girls have some face."
Alex and Si Xing immediately retorted. "Acceptable? Have you lost your taste buds, Brother Jae-In?" Alex asked, laughing. "I wouldn't feed this to a dying man!"
"Yeah, Brother Jae-In, you must be losing it," Si Xing added, wiping a fake tear from his eye. "This is cruel and unusual punishment!"
Lin Xueyin, trying to suppress his laughter, sighed dramatically. "My future is bleak if this is what marriage has in store for me."
Xie Zhili nodded, equally amused. "I second that. I might need to start looking for cooking classes for my future spouse."
Lisa and Ayesha, despite the teasing, took it all in good humor. They exchanged glances and shrugged.
"Fine, you win this round," Lisa said, throwing her hands up. "But next time, someone else is cooking."
As the laughter died down, they settled into a more relaxed conversation. Alex, still grinning, leaned back and said, "You know, despite the taste, it was kind of nice to have a home-cooked meal, even if it was a bit… experimental."
Lisa raised an eyebrow. "Experimental? Is that what we're calling it now?"
Ayesha chuckled. "I'll take that as a compliment."
Li Yun, having recovered from his earlier struggle, nodded. "It's true. The taste doesn't matter as much as the effort and care you put into it."
Kim Woojin added, "Next time, maybe we should all help. Cooking together might be fun and less risky for our taste buds."
The suggestion was met with enthusiastic nods and agreement from everyone.
"Alright," Alex said, clapping his hands. "Next time, we all pitch in. But for now, let’s just enjoy each other's company and forget about the taste."

In the evening, Kim Woojin had his first class with the children of Room 20,000.
Kim Woojin stood at the front, his expression serious but kind. "Alright, everyone," he began, "today we're going to learn about some basic survival skills. These are things that will help you stay safe and healthy in the Eternal Labyrinth."
The children, a mix of various ages, listened attentively. Woojin started with the first skill.
"Number one: Always find clean water. Without clean water, you can't survive for long. Look for clear, flowing streams, and if you can, boil the water to make sure it's safe."
He drew a simple diagram of a stream and a fire on the board. The children nodded, some taking notes on scraps of paper.
"Number two: Learn to identify edible plants and berries. Not everything that looks good is safe to eat. Avoid anything you don't recognize, and if you can, find someone who knows what's safe."
As Woojin continued with the third skill, the door to the classroom burst open. Li Yun stood there, his face pale and eyes wide with panic.
"Woojin! A pregnant lady is going into labor. It's the first child born in our room!"
Kim Woojin's eyes widened in surprise and concern. He quickly turned to the children. "Alright, everyone, stay here and keep practicing what we've learned. I'll be back as soon as I can."
The hospital room was small but clean, equipped with basic medical supplies they had managed to gather. The woman in labor was lying on a bed, sweating and groaning in pain. Several people, including some elderly residents, had gathered outside, whispering anxiously.
Ayesha and Lisa were in the middle of the operation, their faces focused.
Ayesha looked up briefly, her face tense but composed. "It's a difficult delivery, but we're doing everything we can. Lisa, pass me the forceps."
Lisa, equally focused, handed over the instrument. "We've got this," she said, her voice steady.
The minutes ticked by painfully slow. Outside, the murmurs grew louder. An older woman, her face lined with worry, whispered to her companion, "I've never seen a birth like this. What if something goes wrong?"
Li Yun overheard and stepped outside to address the crowd. "Everyone, please remain calm. Ayesha and Lisa are doing everything they can. Let's give them space and trust."
Inside the room, the tension was palpable. Ayesha and Lisa worked hard, their movements precise and deliberate. The woman's cries grew louder, and Lisa wiped her brow, murmuring words of encouragement.
"You're doing great. Just a little more," Lisa said softly.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, a baby's cry pierced the air. The sound was like a balm to the nerves of everyone present. Ayesha carefully wrapped the newborn in a clean cloth and handed the baby to the exhausted mother.
"It's a boy," Ayesha announced a tired but gentle smile on her face.
The room erupted in cheers and applause. The old woman who had been worrying earlier now had tears of joy streaming down her face. "A miracle," she whispered. "A miracle right here in Room 20,000."
As the excitement died down and people began to disperse, Li Yun took a moment to thank Ayesha and Lisa. "You two did an amazing job."
Lisa, still catching her breath, smiled. "It was a team effort. And next time, we better be prepared."
Ayesha nodded, "Such a situation can cause trouble."
Li Yun also agreed.
Such was an emergency, if he hadn't gone to farm to see the situation, he wouldn't have noticed the lady who was in labor pain...
As the excitement began to settle in Room 20,000, a sudden chime echoed through the labyrinth, reverberating through every room. A notification appeared in the air, shimmering with a mystical glow:

Alex looked serious. "We need to protect this child. Everyone will be curious, some might even want to take advantage of this blessing."
Kim Woojin, standing by the window, looked out into the labyrinth. "This is just the beginning."
The baby's mother gently smiled and asked Li Yun who had found her and took her to the hospital on time to name the baby.
"Please Leader, I want the child to grow under your eyes."
Li Yun didn't expect that, He nodded. "Alright...then what's the child's surname."
The gentle mother smiled.
"Xiao...His father...will be happy to know."
Everyone had awkward faces, the woman is called Liu Minji, according to her, she was an orphan who became a teacher in a small kids' school. Her husband was the CEO of a company and the two fell in love in a park.
Li Yun thought for a while and said. "Xiao Tianyu."
Liu Minji smiled and fell asleep.
The baby was cute and looked lively. He grabbed Li Yun's finger and slept.
"So cute." Si Xing and Arial were almost pasted on the baby's crib.
Kim Jae-In had to drag them away so that they didn't disturb the baby's rest.
What they all didn't know was now even Eternal Labyrinth was looking at the child curiously.
"Mama, Uncle Lee is biting Uncle Li!"
Xiao Tianyu 6 years old.
