Djé||é was taking care of his plants like always. He lived in a village where the sun kissed your skin and made your melanin come alive, like the tickles of someone's fingers, far, far away from the Islands of Ossain’oosá.
Recently, a baobab tree had grown near Djé||é’s farm, and it was sucking all the melanin his plants needed to grow and flourish.

Djé||é had very few sales last dry season due to the prosperity of his neighbor’s plantation, and he wanted to outdo him. So, he decided to cut down the baobab tree. It seemed his neighbor was also having problems with his plantation this year. Despite his reluctance, he asked Djé||é for help.
The baobab tree was full of melanin, and they knew it followed the Will of the Comb. It was very dangerous for an Ossain to mess with the Will of Melanin, but they decided to do it anyway.

Cutting the baobab tree wouldn’t work as the tree was just too large, but Djé||é had another idea. They tried starving the tree by isolating its roots, and it worked. A few weeks later, the baobab tree started to look skinnier and skinnier.
However, one alarming thing happened: seeing no source of melanin, the baobab tree came alive and walked itself towards the next village that had the most source of melanin.
Messing with the Will of Melanin was dangerous, and while Djé||é and his rival managed to get the baobab tree away, their farms did not prosper for the following years, causing them to die of hunger.
